²⁴ Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and rose up quickly. He said to his counselors, “Was it not three men that we threw bound into the fire?” They answered the king, “True, O king.”

²² My God sent his angel and shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, because I was found blameless before him; also before you, O king, I have done no wrong.”^(A)

⁷ All the administrators of the kingdom, the prefects and the satraps, the counselors and the governors are agreed that the king should establish an ordinance and enforce an interdict, that whoever prays to any god or human, for thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be thrown into the den of lions.^(A)

²⁷ King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you believe.”

¹³ when at midday along the road, Your Excellency,^[a] I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and my companions.

¹³ When he knocked at the outer gate, a maid named Rhoda came to answer.^(A)

⁶ But get up and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.”

²³ “We found the prison securely locked and the guards standing at the doors, but when we opened them we found no one inside.” ²⁴ Now when the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these words, they were perplexed about them, wondering what might be going on.^{(A) 25} Then someone arrived and announced, “Look, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people!”

¹⁸ As for you, O king, the Most High God gave your father Nebuchadnezzar kingship, greatness, glory, and majesty.^(A)

⁶ Then the king’s face turned pale, and his thoughts terrified him. His limbs gave way, and his knees knocked together.^(A)
