¹⁵ At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food.^(A)

²⁵ Worship the Lord your God,^(A) and his blessing^(B) will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness^(C) from among you,

⁴¹ Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves.^(A) Then he gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all. ⁴² They all ate and were satisfied,

⁴ Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’^[a]”^(A)

² If you do not listen,^(A) and if you do not resolve to honor^(B) my name,” says the Lord Almighty, “I will send a curse^(C) on you, and I will curse your blessings.^(D) Yes, I have already cursed them, because you have not resolved to honor me.

⁹ “You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little.^(A) What you brought home, I blew^(B) away. Why?” declares the Lord Almighty. “Because of my house, which remains a ruin,^(C) while each of you is busy with your own house.

⁶ You have planted much, but harvested little.^(A) You eat, but never have enough.^(B) You drink, but never have your fill.^(C) You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages,^(D) only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”
