¹¹ And he said to me, “O Daniel, ^(A)man greatly loved, ^(B)understand the words that I speak to you, and ^(C)stand upright, for ^(D)now I have been sent to you.” And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling.

¹⁶ But rise and ^(A)stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, ^(B)to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you,

^16 (A)And I heard a man's voice ^(B)between the banks of the ^(C)Ulai, and it called, ^(D)“Gabriel, make this man understand the vision.” ¹⁷ So he came near where I stood. And when he came, ^(E)I was frightened ^(F)and fell on my face. But he said to me, “Understand, ^(G)O son of man, that the vision is for ^(H)the time of the end.”

Ezekiel's Call

2 And he said to me, ^(A)“Son of man,^{[a] (B)}stand on your feet, and I will speak with you.”

⁶ But ^(A)rise and enter the city, and you will be told ^(B)what you are to do.”
