Living as Those Made Alive in Christ
3 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ,(A) set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.(B) 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.(C) 3 For you died,(D) and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your[a] life,(E) appears,(F) then you also will appear with him in glory.(G)
5 Put to death,(H) therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature:(I) sexual immorality,(J) impurity, lust, evil desires and greed,(K) which is idolatry.(L) 6 Because of these, the wrath of God(M) is coming.[b] 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.(N) 8 But now you must also rid yourselves(O) of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander,(P) and filthy language from your lips.(Q) 9 Do not lie to each other,(R) since you have taken off your old self(S) with its practices 10 and have put on the new self,(T) which is being renewed(U) in knowledge in the image of its Creator.(V) 11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew,(W) circumcised or uncircumcised,(X) barbarian, Scythian, slave or free,(Y) but Christ is all,(Z) and is in all.
12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves(AA) with compassion, kindness, humility,(AB) gentleness and patience.(AC) 13 Bear with each other(AD) and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.(AE) 14 And over all these virtues put on love,(AF) which binds them all together in perfect unity.(AG)
15 Let the peace of Christ(AH) rule in your hearts, since as members of one body(AI) you were called to peace.(AJ) And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ(AK) dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom(AL) through psalms,(AM) hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.(AN) 17 And whatever you do,(AO) whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks(AP) to God the Father through him.

18 Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands,(AR) as is fitting in the Lord.
19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
21 Fathers,[c] do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.
22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance(AS) from the Lord as a reward.(AT) It is the Lord Christ you are serving. 25 Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.(AU)

3 你們既然和基督一同復活了，就應當追求天上的事，那裡有坐在上帝右邊的基督。 2 你們要思想天上的事，而不是地上的事， 3 因為你們的舊生命已經死了，你們的新生命與基督一同藏在上帝裡面。 4 基督就是你們的新生命，祂顯現的時候，你們也必和祂一起在榮耀中顯現。
5 所以，你們要治死身上屬世的罪惡，如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾和貪心，貪心就是拜偶像， 6 因為上帝的烈怒必臨到做這些事的悖逆之人。 7 你們過去也和他們一樣過著罪惡的生活， 8 但現在必須杜絕這一切的惡事，如怒氣、憤恨、惡毒、毀謗和污言穢語。 9 不要彼此說謊，因為你們已經脫去了舊人和舊的行為， 10 穿上了新人。這新人在知識上不斷更新，更像他的造物主。 11 從此，不再分希臘人、猶太人，受割禮的、未受割禮的，野蠻人、未開化的人[a]，奴隸和自由人，基督就是一切，並且貫穿一切。
12 所以，你們既然是上帝所揀選的，是聖潔、蒙愛的人，就要心存憐憫、恩慈、謙虛、溫柔和忍耐。 13 倘若彼此之間有怨言，總要互相寬容，彼此饒恕，主怎樣饒恕你們，你們也要照樣饒恕他人。 14 最重要的是要有愛，愛能把一切完美地聯合在一起。 15 要讓基督的平安掌管你們的心，你們就是為此而蒙召成為一個身體。要常存感恩的心。 16 要將基督的話豐豐富富地存在心裡，用各樣智慧彼此教導，互相勸誡，以感恩的心用詩篇、聖樂、靈歌頌讚上帝。 17 你們無論做什麼事、說什麼話，都要奉主耶穌的名而行，並藉著祂感謝父上帝。

18 你們作妻子的，要順服丈夫，信主的人應當這樣做。 19 你們作丈夫的，要愛妻子，不可惡待她們。 20 你們作兒女的，凡事要聽從父母，因為這是主所喜悅的。 21 你們作父親的，不要激怒兒女，免得他們灰心喪志。 22 你們作奴僕的，凡事要聽從你們世上的主人，不要只做討好人的表面工夫，要以敬畏主的心真誠服侍。 23 無論做什麼事，都要發自內心，像是為主做的，而不是為人做的， 24 因為你們知道自己一定會從主那裡得到基業為獎賞。你們事奉的是主基督， 25 凡作惡的人終必自食惡果，因為上帝不偏待人。

3 Në qoftë se ju jeni ringjallur me Krishtin, kërkoni ato që janë lart, ku Krishti është ulur në të djathtë të Perëndisë.
2 Kini në mend gjërat që janë atje lart, jo ato që janë mbi tokë,
3 sepse ju keni vdekur dhe jeta juaj është fshehur bashkë me Krishtin në Perëndinë.
4 Kur të shfaqet Krishti, jeta jonë, atëherë edhe ju do të shfaqeni në lavdi bashkë me të.
5 Bëni, pra, të vdesin gjymtyrët tuaja që janë mbi tokë: kurvërinë, ndyrësinë, pasionet, dëshirat e këqija dhe lakminë, që është idhujtari;
6 për këto gjëra zemërimi i Perëndisë vjen përmbi bijtë e mosbindjes,
7 midis të cilëve dikur ecët edhe ju, kur rronit në to.
8 Por tani hiqni edhe ju të gjitha këto gjëra: zemërim, zemëratë, ligësi, e mos të dalë sharje e asnjë e folur e pandershme nga goja juaj.
9 Mos gënjeni njeri tjetrin, sepse ju e zhveshët njeriun e vjetër me veprat e tij,
10 edhe veshët njeriun e ri, që përtërihet në njohurinë sipas shëmbullit të atij që e krijoi.
11 Këtu nuk ka më Grek e Jud, rrethprerje dhe parrethprerje, Barbar e Skithas, shërbëtor e i lirë, por Krishti është gjithçka dhe në të gjithë.
12 Vishuni, pra, si të zgjedhur të Perëndisë, shenjtorë dhe të dashur, me dhembshuri të brendshme, mirësinë, përulësinë, zemërbutësinë dhe me durimin,
13 duke duruar njeri tjetrin dhe duke falur njeri tjetrin, nëqoftëse dikush ankohet kundër një tjetri; dhe sikundër Krishti ju ka falur, ashtu bëni edhe ju.
14 Dhe, përmbi të gjitha këto gjëra, vishni dashurinë, që është lidhja e përsosmërisë.
15 Dhe paqja e Perëndisë, për të cilin ju u thirrët në një trup të vetëm, të mbretërojë në zemrat tuaja; dhe jini mirënjohës!
16 Fjala e Krishtit banoftë në ju me begatinë e vet; në çdo dituri, mësoni dhe këshilloni njeri tjetrin me psalme, himne dhe këngë frymërore, duke kënduar Zotit me hir në zemrat tuaja!
17 Dhe çdo gjë që të bëni, me fjalë a me vepër, t’i bëni në emër të Zotit Jezus, duke e falënderuar Perëndinë Atë nëpërmjet tij.
18 Ju bashkëshorte, jini të nënshtruara bashkëshortëve tuaj, ashtu si ka hije në Zotin.
19 Ju bashkëshortë, duaini bashkëshortet tuaja dhe mos u bëni të ashpër ndaj tyre.
20 Ju bij, binduni prindërve në çdo gjë, sepse kjo është e pranueshme për Zotin.
21 Ju etër, mos provokoni për zemërim bijtë tuaj, që të mos i lëshojë zemra.
22 Ju shërbëtorë, binduni në çdo gjë zotërinjve tuaj sipas mishit, duke u shërbyer jo vetëm kur ju shohin, sikurse të doni t’u pëlqeni njerëzve, por me thjeshtësinë e zemrës, duke druajtur Perëndinë.
23 Dhe çdo gjë që të bëni, ta bëni me dëshirë të mirë, si për Zotin dhe jo për njerëzit,
24 duke ditur se nga Zoti do të merrni shpërblimin e trashëgimisë, sepse ju i shërbeni Krishtit, Zotit.
25 Por ai që punon padrejtësisht do të marrë shpagimin për gjëra të padrejta që ka bërë, dhe nuk do të ketë anësi për asnjë.

Your New Life
3 You were raised from death with Christ. So live for what is in heaven, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Think only about what is up there, not what is here on earth. 3 Your old self has died, and your new life is kept with Christ in God. 4 Yes, Christ is now your life, and when he comes again, you will share in his glory.
5 So put everything evil out of your life: sexual sin, doing anything immoral, letting sinful thoughts control you, and wanting things that are wrong. And don’t keep wanting more and more for yourself, which is the same as worshiping a false god. 6 God will show his anger against those who don’t obey him,[a] because they do these evil things. 7 You also did these things in the past, when you lived like them.
8 But now put these things out of your life: anger, losing your temper, doing or saying things to hurt others, and saying shameful things. 9 Don’t lie to each other. You have taken off those old clothes—the person you once were and the bad things you did then. 10 Now you are wearing a new life, a life that is new every day. You are growing in your understanding of the one who made you. You are becoming more and more like him. 11 In this new life it doesn’t matter if you are a Greek or a Jew, circumcised or not. It doesn’t matter if you speak a different language or even if you are a Scythian.[b] It doesn’t matter if you are a slave or free. Christ is all that matters, and he is in all of you.
Your New Life With Each Other
12 God has chosen you and made you his holy people. He loves you. So your new life should be like this: Show mercy to others. Be kind, humble, gentle, and patient. 13 Don’t be angry with each other, but forgive each other. If you feel someone has wronged you, forgive them. Forgive others because the Lord forgave you. 14 Together with these things, the most important part of your new life is to love each other. Love is what holds everything together in perfect unity. 15 Let the peace that Christ gives control your thinking. It is for peace that you were chosen to be together in one body.[c] And always be thankful.
16 Let the teaching of Christ live inside you richly. Use all wisdom to teach and counsel each other. Sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 Everything you say and everything you do should be done for Jesus your Lord. And in all you do, give thanks to God the Father through Jesus.
Your New Life at Home
18 Wives, be willing to serve your husbands. This is the right thing to do in following the Lord.
19 Husbands, love your wives, and be gentle to them.
20 Children, obey your parents in everything. This pleases the Lord.
21 Fathers, don’t upset your children. If you are too hard to please, they might want to stop trying.
22 Servants, obey your masters in everything. Obey all the time, even when they can’t see you. Don’t just pretend to work hard so that they will treat you well. No, you must serve your masters honestly because you respect the Lord. 23 In all the work you are given, do the best you can. Work as though you are working for the Lord, not any earthly master. 24 Remember that you will receive your reward from the Lord, who will give you what he promised his people. Yes, you are serving Christ. He is your real Master.[d] 25 Remember that anyone who does wrong will be punished for that wrong. And the Lord treats everyone the same.

3 (A)Se dunque siete stati risuscitati con Cristo, cercate le cose di lassú dove Cristo è seduto alla destra di Dio. 2 Aspirate alle cose di lassú, non a quelle che sono sulla terra; 3 poiché voi moriste e la vostra vita è nascosta con Cristo in Dio. 4 Quando Cristo, la vita nostra, sarà manifestato, allora anche voi sarete con lui manifestati in gloria.
5 (B)Fate dunque morire ciò che in voi è terreno: fornicazione, impurità, passioni, desideri cattivi e la cupidigia che è idolatria. 6 Per queste cose viene l'ira di Dio [sui figli ribelli]. 7 E cosí camminaste un tempo anche voi, quando vivevate in esse. 8 Ora invece deponete anche voi tutte queste cose: ira, collera, malignità, calunnia; e non vi escano di bocca parole oscene.
9 Non mentite gli uni agli altri, perché vi siete spogliati dell'uomo vecchio con le sue opere 10 e vi siete rivestiti del nuovo, che si va rinnovando in conoscenza a immagine di colui che l'ha creato. 11 Qui non c'è Greco o Giudeo, circoncisione o incirconcisione, barbaro, Scita, schiavo, libero, ma Cristo è tutto e in tutti.
12 Vestitevi, dunque, come eletti di Dio, santi e amati, di sentimenti di misericordia, di benevolenza, di umiltà, di mansuetudine, di pazienza. 13 Sopportatevi gli uni gli altri e perdonatevi a vicenda, se uno ha di che dolersi di un altro. Come il Signore vi ha perdonati, cosí fate anche voi. 14 Al di sopra di tutte queste cose vestitevi dell'amore che è il vincolo della perfezione. 15 E la pace di Cristo, alla quale siete stati chiamati per essere un solo corpo, regni nei vostri cuori; e siate riconoscenti.
16 La parola di Cristo abiti in voi abbondantemente, ammaestrandovi ed esortandovi gli uni gli altri con ogni sapienza, cantando di cuore a Dio, sotto l'impulso della grazia, salmi, inni e cantici spirituali[a]. 17 Qualunque cosa facciate, in parole o in opere, fate ogni cosa nel nome del Signore Gesú ringraziando Dio Padre per mezzo di lui.
Doveri cristiani nella vita nuova
18 (C)Mogli, siate sottomesse ai vostri mariti, come si conviene nel Signore.
19 Mariti, amate le vostre mogli, e non v'inasprite contro di loro.
20 Figli, ubbidite ai vostri genitori in ogni cosa, poiché questo è gradito al Signore.
21 Padri, non irritate i vostri figli, affinché non si scoraggino.
22 Servi, ubbidite in ogni cosa ai vostri padroni secondo la carne; non servendoli soltanto quando vi vedono, come per piacere agli uomini, ma con semplicità di cuore, temendo il Signore. 23 Qualunque cosa facciate, fatela di buon animo, come per il Signore e non per gli uomini, 24 sapendo che dal Signore riceverete per ricompensa l'eredità. Servite Cristo, il Signore! 25 Infatti chi agisce ingiustamente riceverà la retribuzione del torto che avrà fatto, senza che vi siano favoritismi.
