2 Nais kong malaman ninyong gayon na lamang ang pagsisikap ko para sa inyo, gayundin para sa mga taga-Laodicea at sa lahat ng hindi pa nakakakita sa akin nang personal. 2 Ginagawa ko ito upang palakasin ang kanilang loob at upang mabuklod sila sa pag-ibig. Sa gayon, mararanasan nila ang ganap na pagpapala ng tunay na pagkaunawa at kaalaman tungkol sa hiwaga ng Diyos, na walang iba kundi si Cristo.[a] 3 Sa pamamagitan niya nahahayag ang lahat ng nakatagong kayamanan ng karunungan at kaalaman ng Diyos.
