¹⁹ and ^(A)not ^(B)holding fast to the Head, from whom the whole body, nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God.

¹⁵ Rather, ^(A)speaking the truth in love, we are to ^(B)grow up in every way into him who is ^(C)the head, into Christ, ^16 (D)from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, ^(E)when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

^4 (A)Abide ^(B)in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. ⁵ I am the vine; ^(C)you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that ^(D)bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. ⁶ If anyone does not abide in me ^(E)he is thrown away like a branch and withers; ^(F)and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.

¹⁸ But ^(A)grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. ^(B)To him be the glory both now and to the day of ^(C)eternity. Amen.

⁴ who desires ^(A)all people to be saved and ^(B)to come to ^(C)the knowledge of the truth. ⁵ For ^(D)there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man^[a] Christ Jesus, ^6 (E)who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is ^(F)the testimony given ^(G)at the proper time.

⁴ For ^(A)as in one body we have many members,^[a] and the members do not all have the same function, ⁵ so we, ^(B)though many, ^(C)are one body in Christ, and individually ^(D)members one of another.

Suffering for Righteousness' Sake

⁸ Finally, all of you, ^(A)have unity of mind, sympathy, ^(B)brotherly love, ^(C)a tender heart, and ^(D)a humble mind.

¹⁰ for that indeed is what ^(A)you are doing to all the brothers throughout Macedonia. But we urge you, brothers, to ^(B)do this more and more,

¹² and may the Lord ^(A)make you increase and abound in love ^(B)for one another and for all, as we do for you,
