Ang mga Lugar na Dinaanan ng mga Israelita mula Egipto Papuntang Moab

33 Ito ang mga lugar na dinaanan ng mga Israelita nang umalis sila sa Egipto na nakagrupo ang bawat lahi sa ilalim ng pangunguna nina Moises at Aaron. Ayon sa utos ng Panginoon, inilista ni Moises ang kanilang dinaanan na mga lugar mula sa kanilang pinanggalingan. Umalis sila sa Rameses nang ika-15 araw ng unang buwan pagkatapos ng Pista ng Paglampas ng Anghel. Umalis silang may lakas ng loob, habang nakatingin ang mga Egipcio na naglilibing ng lahat ng panganay nilang lalaki na pinatay ng Panginoon dahil hinatulan sila ng Panginoon sa kanilang pagsamba sa mga dios-diosan nila.

Mula sa Rameses, nagkampo sila sa Sucot.

Mula sa Sucot, nagkampo sila sa Etam, na tabi ng disyerto.

Mula sa Etam, nagbalik sila papunta sa Pi Harirot na nasa silangan ng Baal Zefon, at nagkampo malapit sa Migdol.

Mula sa Pi Harirot, tumawid sila sa dagat at pumunta sa disyerto. Naglakbay sila sa loob ng tatlong araw sa disyerto ng Etam at nagkampo sila sa Mara. Mula sa Mara, nagkampo sila sa Elim, kung saan may 12 bukal at 70 puno ng palma.

10 Mula sa Elim nagkampo sila sa tabi ng Dagat na Pula. 11 Mula sa Dagat na Pula nagkampo sila sa ilang ng Sin.

12 Mula sa ilang ng Sin, nagkampo sila sa Dofka.

13 Mula sa Dofka, nagkampo sila sa Alus.

14 Mula sa Alus, nagkampo sila sa Refidim, kung saan walang tubig na naiinom ang mga tao.

15 Mula sa Refidim, nagkampo sila sa disyerto ng Sinai.

16-36 Ito pa ang mga lugar na kanilang pinagkampuhan nang naglalakbay sila mula sa disyerto ng Sinai papunta sa Kadesh, sa ilang ng Zin: Kibrot Hataava, Hazerot, Ritma, Rimon Perez, Libna, Risa, Kehelata, Bundok ng Shefer, Harada, Makelot, Tahat, Tera, Mitca, Hasmona, Moserot, Bene Jaakan, Hor Hagidgad, Jotbata, Abrona, Ezion Geber at hanggang sa makarating sila sa Kadesh sa ilang ng Zin.

37 Mula sa Kadesh, nagkampo sila sa Bundok ng Hor, sa hangganan ng lupain ng Edom. 38-39 Sa utos ng Panginoon, umakyat si Aaron sa Bundok ng Hor at doon siya namatay sa edad na 123 taon. Nangyari ito noong unang araw ng ikalimang buwan, nang ika-40 taon mula nang umalis ang mga Israelita sa Egipto.

40 Ngayon, ang hari ng Canaan na si Arad na naninirahan sa Negev ay nakabalita na paparating ang mga mamamayan ng Israel.

41-48 Mula naman sa Bundok ng Hor, nagpatuloy ang mga Israelita sa kanilang paglalakbay. Ito ang mga lugar na kanilang pinagkampuhan: Zalmona, Punon, Obot, Iye Abarim, na nasa hangganan ng Moab, Dibon Gad, Almon Diblataim, sa mga bundok ng Abarim na malapit sa Nebo, at hanggang sa nakarating sila sa kapatagan ng Moab sa tabi ng Jordan malapit sa Jerico. 49 Nagkampo sila roon sa tabi ng Jordan mula sa Bet Jeshimot hanggang sa Abel Shitim na sakop pa rin ng kapatagan ng Moab. 50 At habang nagkakampo sila roon sa kapatagan ng Moab, sa tabi ng Jordan malapit sa Jerico, sinabi ng Panginoon kay Moises, 51 “Sabihin mo sa mga Israelita na kung tatawid sila sa Ilog ng Jordan papunta sa Canaan, 52 palayasin nila ang lahat ng naninirahan doon at gibain ang lahat ng dios-diosan nila na gawa sa mga bato at metal, at ang lahat ng kanilang sambahan sa matataas na lugar.[a] 53 Sasakupin ninyo ang mga lupaing iyon at doon kayo titira dahil ibinibigay ko ito sa inyo. 54 Partihin ninyo ang lupa sa pamamagitan ng palabunutan ayon sa dami ng bawat lahi. Ang lahi na may maraming bilang ay partihan ninyo ng malaki, at ang lahi na may kakaunting bilang ay partihan ninyo ng maliit. Kung ano ang mabunot nila, iyon na ang kanilang parte. Sa pamamagitan nito, mahahati ang lupa sa bawat lahi.

55 “Pero kung hindi ninyo palalayasin ang mga naninirahan doon, ang mga matitira sa kanilaʼy magiging parang puwing sa inyong mga mata at tinik sa inyong mga tagiliran. Magbibigay sila ng kaguluhan sa inyong paninirahan doon. 56 At gagawin ko sa inyo ang parusa na dapat para sa kanila.”

Israel’s Journey from Egypt

33 These are the places the Israelites went as Moses and Aaron led them out of Egypt in divisions. At the Lord’s command Moses recorded the places they went. These are the places they went.

On the fifteenth day of the first month, they left Rameses. That was the day after the Passover. The Israelites marched out boldly in front of all the Egyptians. The Egyptians were burying their firstborn sons. The Lord had killed them. He showed that the gods of Egypt were false.

The Israelites left Rameses and camped at Succoth.

They left Succoth and camped at Etham. It was at the edge of the desert.

They left Etham and went back to Pi Hahiroth. This was east of Baal Zephon. They camped near Migdol.

They left Pi Hahiroth. They walked through the sea into the desert. After going three days through the Desert of Etham, they camped at Marah.

They left Marah and went to Elim. There were 12 springs of water and 70 palm trees where they camped.

10 They left Elim and camped near the Red Sea.

11 They left the Red Sea and camped in the Desert of Sin.

12 They left the Desert of Sin and camped at Dophkah.

13 They left Dophkah and camped at Alush.

14 They left Alush and camped at Rephidim. The people had no water to drink there.

15 They left Rephidim and camped in the Desert of Sinai.

16 They left the Desert of Sinai and camped at Kibroth Hattaavah.

17 They left Kibroth Hattaavah and camped at Hazeroth.

18 They left Hazeroth and camped at Rithmah.

19 They left Rithmah and camped at Rimmon Perez.

20 They left Rimmon Perez and camped at Libnah.

21 They left Libnah and camped at Rissah.

22 They left Rissah and camped at Kehelathah.

23 They left Kehelathah and camped at Mount Shepher.

24 They left Mount Shepher and camped at Haradah.

25 They left Haradah and camped at Makheloth.

26 They left Makheloth and camped at Tahath.

27 They left Tahath and camped at Terah.

28 They left Terah and camped at Mithcah.

29 They left Mithcah and camped at Hashmonah.

30 They left Hashmonah and camped at Moseroth.

31 They left Moseroth and camped at Bene Jaakan.

32 They left Bene Jaakan and camped at Hor Haggidgad.

33 They left Hor Haggidgad and camped at Jotbathah.

34 They left Jotbathah and camped at Abronah.

35 They left Abronah and camped at Ezion Geber.

36 They left Ezion Geber and camped at Kadesh in the Desert of Zin.

37 They left Kadesh and camped at Mount Hor. This was on the border of Edom. 38 Aaron the priest obeyed the Lord and went up Mount Hor. There he died. He died on the first day of the fifth month. This was in the fortieth year after the Israelites left Egypt. 39 Aaron was 123 years old when he died on Mount Hor.

40 The king of Arad lived in the southern area of Canaan. He heard that the Israelites were coming.

41 The people left Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.

42 They left Zalmonah and camped at Punon.

43 They left Punon and camped at Oboth.

44 They left Oboth and camped at Iye Abarim. This was on the border of Moab.

45 They left Iye Abarim and camped at Dibon Gad.

46 They left Dibon Gad and camped at Almon Diblathaim.

47 They left Almon Diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim, near Nebo.

48 They left the mountains of Abarim and camped on the plains of Moab. This was near the Jordan River across from Jericho. 49 They camped along the Jordan on the plains of Moab. Their camp went from Beth Jeshimoth to Abel Acacia.

50 On the plains of Moab by the Jordan River across from Jericho, the Lord spoke to Moses. He said, 51 “Speak to the Israelites. Tell them, ‘Cross the Jordan River and go into Canaan. 52 Force out the people who live there. Destroy all of their carved statues. Destroy their metal idols. Wreck all of their places of worship. 53 Take over the land and settle there. I have given this land to you to own. 54 Throw lots to divide up the land by family groups. Give larger portions to larger family groups. Give smaller portions to smaller family groups. The land will be given as the lots decide. Each tribe will get its own land.

55 “‘But if you don’t force those people out of the land, they will bring you trouble. They will be like sharp hooks in your eyes. They will be like thorns in your sides. They will bring trouble to the land where you live. 56 I will punish you as I had planned to punish them.’”

Stages in Israel’s Journey

33 Here are the stages in the journey(A) of the Israelites when they came out of Egypt(B) by divisions under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.(C) At the Lord’s command Moses recorded(D) the stages in their journey(E). This is their journey by stages:

The Israelites set out(F) from Rameses(G) on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after the Passover.(H) They marched out defiantly(I) in full view of all the Egyptians, who were burying all their firstborn,(J) whom the Lord had struck down among them; for the Lord had brought judgment(K) on their gods.(L)

The Israelites left Rameses and camped at Sukkoth.(M)

They left Sukkoth and camped at Etham, on the edge of the desert.(N)

They left Etham, turned back to Pi Hahiroth, to the east of Baal Zephon,(O) and camped near Migdol.(P)

They left Pi Hahiroth[a](Q) and passed through the sea(R) into the desert, and when they had traveled for three days in the Desert of Etham, they camped at Marah.(S)

They left Marah and went to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped(T) there.

10 They left Elim(U) and camped by the Red Sea.[b]

11 They left the Red Sea and camped in the Desert of Sin.(V)

12 They left the Desert of Sin and camped at Dophkah.

13 They left Dophkah and camped at Alush.

14 They left Alush and camped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.(W)

23 They left Kehelathah and camped at Mount Shepher.

24 They left Mount Shepher and camped at Haradah.

27 They left Tahath and camped at Terah.

28 They left Terah and camped at Mithkah.

29 They left Mithkah and camped at Hashmonah.

37 They left Kadesh and camped at Mount Hor,(AH) on the border of Edom.(AI) 38 At the Lord’s command Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor, where he died(AJ) on the first day of the fifth month of the fortieth year(AK) after the Israelites came out of Egypt.(AL) 39 Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.

40 The Canaanite king(AM) of Arad,(AN) who lived in the Negev(AO) of Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming.

41 They left Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.

42 They left Zalmonah and camped at Punon.

43 They left Punon and camped at Oboth.(AP)

44 They left Oboth and camped at Iye Abarim, on the border of Moab.(AQ)

45 They left Iye Abarim and camped at Dibon Gad.

46 They left Dibon Gad and camped at Almon Diblathaim.

47 They left Almon Diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim,(AR) near Nebo.(AS)

48 They left the mountains of Abarim(AT) and camped on the plains of Moab(AU) by the Jordan(AV) across from Jericho.(AW) 49 There on the plains of Moab they camped along the Jordan from Beth Jeshimoth(AX) to Abel Shittim.(AY)

50 On the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho(AZ) the Lord said to Moses, 51 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you cross the Jordan into Canaan,(BA) 52 drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you. Destroy all their carved images and their cast idols, and demolish all their high places.(BB) 53 Take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.(BC) 54 Distribute the land by lot,(BD) according to your clans.(BE) To a larger group give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group a smaller one.(BF) Whatever falls to them by lot will be theirs. Distribute it according to your ancestral tribes.(BG)

55 “‘But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns(BH) in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live. 56 And then I will do to you what I plan to do to them.(BI)’”
