Baruch 2:21-23

²¹ ‘Thus says the Lord: Bow your shoulders in the service of the king of Babylon, so that you can remain in the land that I gave to your fathers. ²² But if you refuse to heed the Lord’s command to serve the king of Babylon, ²³ I will banish from the cities of Judah and from the streets of Jerusalem the shouts of joy and the sounds of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, and the whole land will be a desolate waste, without a single inhabitant.’
