Ang Dating Biblia (1905)

23 Ang Panginoon ay aking pastor; hindi ako mangangailangan.

2 Kaniyang pinahihiga ako sa sariwang pastulan: pinapatnubayan niya ako sa siping ng mga tubig na pahingahan,

3 Kaniyang pinapananauli ang aking kaluluwa: pinapatnubayan niya ako sa mga landas ng katuwiran alangalang sa kaniyang pangalan.

4 Oo, bagaman ako'y lumalakad sa libis ng lilim ng kamatayan, wala akong katatakutang kasamaan; sapagka't ikaw ay sumasa akin: ang iyong pamalo at ang iyong tungkod, ay nagsisialiw sa akin.

5 Iyong pinaghahandaan ako ng dulang sa harap ko sa harapan ng aking mga kaaway: iyong pinahiran ang aking ulo ng langis; ang aking saro ay inaapawan.

6 Tunay na ang kabutihan at kaawaan ay susunod sa akin sa lahat ng mga kaarawan ng aking buhay: at ako'y tatahan sa bahay ng Panginoon magpakailan man.

Psalm 23

A psalm of David.

1 The Lord is my shepherd,(A) I lack nothing.(B)
2     He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,(C)
3     he refreshes my soul.(D)
He guides me(E) along the right paths(F)
    for his name’s sake.(G)
4 Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a](H)
I will fear no evil,(I)
    for you are with me;(J)
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table(K) before me
    in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;(L)
    my cup(M) overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love(N) will follow me
    all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.

God takes care of his people[a]

23 The Lord takes care of me,
    like a shepherd with his sheep.
I have everything that I need.
2 He takes me to green fields where I can rest.
    He leads me to streams of water where I can drink.
3 He gives me new strength in my life.
He is my guide to the right paths.
    He does this to give honour to his name.
4 I may walk through a valley that is as dark as death.
    But I will not be afraid of any danger.
This is because you are with me, Lord.
Your stick and your shepherd's pole protect me from danger.

5 You prepare a big meal for me while my enemies watch.
    You put olive oil on my head.
You bless me so much that my cup is completely full.
6 I am sure that you will always be good to me.
You will love me all the days of my life.
    That will never change.
I will live in the Lord's house for as long as I live.
