Sept paroles de louange
19 Après cela, j’entendis dans le ciel comme la voix puissante d’une foule immense qui disait :
Alléluia !
Loué soit Dieu !
Car à lui appartiennent
le salut et la gloire
et la puissance.
2 Ses jugements sont vrais et justes
car il a condamné
la grande prostituée
qui corrompait la terre
par ses débauches,
et il lui a fait rendre compte
du sang des serviteurs de Dieu
répandu par sa main.
3 Une seconde fois, ils dirent :
Alléluia !
Loué soit Dieu !
Car la fumée
de la ville embrasée
s’élève pour l’éternité !
4 Alors les vingt-quatre représentants du peuple de Dieu et les quatre êtres vivants se prosternèrent devant le Dieu qui siège sur le trône, et l’adorèrent en disant :
Amen ! Loué soit Dieu !
5 Et du trône partit une voix.
Louez notre Dieu, disait-elle, vous tous ses serviteurs et vous qui le craignez, petits et grands.
Les noces de l’Agneau et de sa fiancée
6 Et j’entendis comme la voix d’une foule immense, semblable au bruit de grandes eaux et au grondement violent du tonnerre. Elle disait :
Alléluia !
Loué soit Dieu !
Car le Seigneur,
notre Dieu tout-puissant,
est entré dans son règne.
7 Réjouissons-nous,
exultons d’allégresse
et apportons-lui notre hommage.
Voici bientôt
les noces de l’Agneau.
Sa fiancée s’est préparée.
8 Et il lui a été donné
de s’habiller
d’un lin pur éclatant.
Ce lin représente le statut des membres du peuple saint déclarés justes[a].
Les paroles authentiques de Dieu
9 L’ange me dit alors : Ecris : Heureux les invités au festin des noces de l’Agneau.
Et il ajouta : Ce sont là les paroles authentiques de Dieu.
10 Alors je me prosternai à ses pieds pour l’adorer, mais il me dit : Ne fais pas cela ! Je suis ton compagnon de service et celui de tes frères qui sont attachés à la vérité dont Jésus est le témoin. Adore Dieu ! Car le témoignage rendu par Jésus est ce qui inspire la prophétie de ce livre.
L’aboutissement de l’histoire du salut, en sept visions
Première vision : le cavalier sur un cheval blanc
11 Là-dessus, je vis le ciel ouvert et voici, il y avait un cheval blanc. Son cavalier s’appelle « Fidèle et Véritable ». Il juge avec équité, il combat pour la justice. 12 Ses yeux flamboient comme une flamme ardente. Sa tête est couronnée de nombreux diadèmes[b]. Il porte un nom gravé qu’il est seul à connaître. 13 Il est vêtu d’un manteau trempé de sang. Il s’appelle La Parole de Dieu[c]. 14 Les armées célestes, vêtues de lin blanc et pur, le suivent sur des chevaux blancs. 15 De sa bouche sort une épée aiguisée pour frapper les peuples et il les dirigera avec un sceptre de fer[d]. Il va aussi écraser lui-même le raisin dans le pressoir à vin de l’ardente colère du Dieu tout-puissant. 16 Sur son manteau et sur sa cuisse est inscrit un titre : « Roi des rois et Seigneur des seigneurs ».
Deuxième vision : le grand festin des charognards
17 Puis je vis un ange, debout dans le soleil, qui cria d’une voix forte à tous les oiseaux qui volent au zénith dans le ciel : Venez, rassemblez-vous pour le grand festin de Dieu 18 afin de dévorer la chair des rois, des chefs d’armées, des guerriers, la chair des chevaux et de leurs cavaliers, la chair de tous les hommes, libres et esclaves, petits et grands.
Troisième vision : la capture de la bête et du faux prophète
19 Je vis la bête et les rois de la terre. Ils avaient rassemblé leurs armées pour combattre le Cavalier et son armée. 20 La bête fut capturée et, avec elle, le faux prophète qui avait accompli des signes impressionnants pour le compte de la bête. Par ces signes, il avait trompé les hommes qui portaient la marque de la bête et qui avaient adoré son image. Ils furent tous deux jetés vifs dans l’étang ardent de feu et de soufre. 21 Les autres hommes furent tués par l’épée qui sort de la bouche du Cavalier. Et tous les oiseaux se rassasièrent de leur chair.

19 此后，我听见好像有一大群人在天上大声说：
“哈利路亚[a]！
救恩、荣耀、权能都属于我们的 神。
2 他的判断又真实又公义；
因他判断了那大淫妇，
她用淫行败坏了世界。
神为他的仆人伸冤，
向淫妇讨流仆人血的罪。”
3 他们又一次说：
“哈利路亚！
烧淫妇的烟往上冒，直到永永远远。”
4 那二十四位长老和四活物就俯伏敬拜坐在宝座上的 神，说：
“阿们。哈利路亚！”
羔羊的婚宴
5 接着，有声音从宝座出来说：
“ 神的众仆人哪，
凡敬畏他的，
无论大小，
都要赞美我们的 神！”
6 我听见好像一大群人的声音，像众水的声音，像大雷的声音，说：
“哈利路亚！
因为主—我们的 神[b]、
全能者，作王了。
7 我们要欢喜快乐，
将荣耀归给他；
因为羔羊的婚期到了，
他的新娘也自己预备好了，
8 她蒙恩得穿明亮洁白的细麻衣：
这细麻衣就是圣徒们的义行。”
9 天使对我说：“你要写下来：凡被请赴羔羊婚宴的人有福了！”他又对我说：“这些都是 神真实的话。” 10 我就俯伏在他脚前要拜他。他对我说：“千万不可！我和你，以及那些为耶稣作见证的弟兄同是仆人。你要敬拜 神。”因为那些为耶稣作见证的人有预言的灵。
白马骑士
11 后来我看见天开了。有一匹白马，骑在马上的称为[c]“诚信”、“真实”，他审判和争战都凭着公义。 12 他的眼睛如[d]火焰，头上戴着许多冠冕；他身上写着一个名字，除了他自己没有人知道。 13 他穿着浸过血的衣服；他的名称为“ 神之道”。 14 众天军都骑着白马，穿着又白又洁净的细麻衣跟随他。 15 有利剑从他口中出来，用来击打列国。他要用铁杖管辖[e]他们，并且要踹全能 神烈怒的榨酒池。 16 在他衣服和大腿上写着“万王之王，万主之主”的名号。
17 我又看见一位天使站在太阳中，向天空一切的飞鸟大声喊着说：“你们聚集来赴 神的大宴席， 18 为要吃君王的肉、将军的肉、壮士的肉、马和骑士的肉、一切自主的和为奴的，以及尊贵的和卑贱的肉。”

19 After these things I heard as a loud voice of a great multitude in the heaven, saying, Hallelujah: the salvation and the glory and the power of our God:
2 for true and righteous [are] his judgments; for he has judged the great harlot which corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his bondmen at her hand.
3 And a second time they said, Hallelujah. And her smoke goes up to the ages of ages.
4 And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and did homage to God who sits upon the throne, saying, Amen, Hallelujah.
5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his bondmen, [and] ye that fear him, small and great.
6 And I heard as a voice of a great crowd, and as a voice of many waters, and as a voice of strong thunders, saying, Hallelujah, for [the] Lord our God the Almighty has taken to himself kingly power.
7 Let us rejoice and exult, and give him glory; for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife has made herself ready.
8 And it was given to her that she should be clothed in fine linen, bright [and] pure; for the fine linen is the righteousnesses of the saints.
9 And he says to me, Write, Blessed [are] they who are called to the supper of the marriage of the Lamb. And he says to me, These are the true words of God.
10 And I fell before his feet to do him homage. And he says to me, See [thou do it] not. I am thy fellow-bondman, and [the fellow-bondman] of thy brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Do homage to God. For the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus.
11 And I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and one sitting on it, [called] Faithful and True, and he judges and makes war in righteousness.
12 And his eyes are a flame of fire, and upon his head many diadems, having a name written which no one knows but himself;
13 and [he is] clothed with a garment dipped in blood; and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which [are] in the heaven followed him upon white horses, clad in white, pure, fine linen.
15 And out of his mouth goes a sharp [two-edged] sword, that with it he might smite the nations; and he shall shepherd them with an iron rod; and he treads the wine-press of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.
16 And he has upon his garment, and upon his thigh, a name written, King of kings, and Lord of lords.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid-heaven, Come, gather yourselves to the great supper of God,
18 that ye may eat flesh of kings, and flesh of chiliarchs, and flesh of strong men, and flesh of horses and of those that sit upon them, and flesh of all, both free and bond, and small and great.
19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against him that sat upon the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast was taken, and the false prophet that [was] with him, who wrought the signs before him by which he deceived them that received the mark of the beast, and those that worship his image. Alive were both cast into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone;
21 and the rest were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which goes out of his mouth; and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Threefold Hallelujah Over Babylon’s Fall
19 After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude(A) in heaven shouting:
“Hallelujah!(B)
Salvation(C) and glory and power(D) belong to our God,
2 for true and just are his judgments.(E)
He has condemned the great prostitute(F)
who corrupted the earth by her adulteries.
He has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”(G)
3 And again they shouted:
4 The twenty-four elders(J) and the four living creatures(K) fell down(L) and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried:
“Amen, Hallelujah!”(M)
5 Then a voice came from the throne, saying:
6 Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude,(P) like the roar of rushing waters(Q) and like loud peals of thunder, shouting:
“Hallelujah!(R)
For our Lord God Almighty(S) reigns.(T)
7 Let us rejoice and be glad
and give him glory!(U)
For the wedding of the Lamb(V) has come,
and his bride(W) has made herself ready.
8 Fine linen,(X) bright and clean,
was given her to wear.”
(Fine linen stands for the righteous acts(Y) of God’s holy people.)
9 Then the angel said to me,(Z) “Write this:(AA) Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!”(AB) And he added, “These are the true words of God.”(AC)
10 At this I fell at his feet to worship him.(AD) But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God!(AE) For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.”(AF)
The Heavenly Warrior Defeats the Beast
11 I saw heaven standing open(AG) and there before me was a white horse, whose rider(AH) is called Faithful and True.(AI) With justice he judges and wages war.(AJ) 12 His eyes are like blazing fire,(AK) and on his head are many crowns.(AL) He has a name written on him(AM) that no one knows but he himself.(AN) 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood,(AO) and his name is the Word of God.(AP) 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen,(AQ) white(AR) and clean. 15 Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword(AS) with which to strike down(AT) the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.”[a](AU) He treads the winepress(AV) of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:(AW)
king of kings and lord of lords.(AX)
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds(AY) flying in midair,(AZ) “Come,(BA) gather together for the great supper of God,(BB) 18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people,(BC) free and slave,(BD) great and small.”(BE)
19 Then I saw the beast(BF) and the kings of the earth(BG) and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse(BH) and his army. 20 But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet(BI) who had performed the signs(BJ) on its behalf.(BK) With these signs he had deluded(BL) those who had received the mark of the beast(BM) and worshiped its image.(BN) The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake(BO) of burning sulfur.(BP) 21 The rest were killed with the sword(BQ) coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse,(BR) and all the birds(BS) gorged themselves on their flesh.
