^15 (A)No longer do I call you servants,^[a] for the servant ^(B)does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for ^(C)all that I have heard from my Father ^(D)I have made known to you.

¹⁷ The Lord said, ^(A)“Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do,

¹³ And God said to Noah, ^(A)“I have determined to make an end of all flesh,^[a] for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Prologue

1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God ^(A)gave him ^(B)to show to his servants^[a] the things that must soon take place. ^(C)He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,

^22 (A)He made me understand, speaking with me and saying, “O Daniel, I have now come out to give you ^(B)insight and understanding. ^23 (C)At the beginning of your pleas for mercy a word went out, ^(D)and I have come to tell it to you, for ^(E)you are greatly loved. Therefore consider the word ^(F)and understand the vision.

The Seventy Weeks

^24 (G)“Seventy weeks^[a] are decreed about your people and ^(H)your holy city, to finish ^(I)the transgression, to put an end to sin, ^(J)and to atone for iniquity, ^(K)to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and ^(L)to anoint a most holy place.^{[b] 25 (M)}Know therefore and understand that ^(N)from the going out of the word to restore and ^(O)build Jerusalem to the coming of an ^(P)anointed one, a ^(Q)prince, there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again^[c] with squares and moat, ^(R)but in a troubled time. ²⁶ And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall ^(S)be cut off and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince who is to come ^(T)shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. ^(U)Its^[d] end shall come with a flood, ^(V)and to the end there shall be war. ^(W)Desolations are decreed. ²⁷ And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week,^[e] and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. ^(X)And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until ^(Y)the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.”

The Throne in Heaven

4 After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me ^(A)like a trumpet, said, ^(B)“Come up here, and ^(C)I will show you what must take place after this.”
