¹¹ “The days are coming,”^(A) declares the Sovereign Lord,
    “when I will send a famine through the land—
not a famine of food or a thirst for water,
    but a famine^(B) of hearing the words of the Lord.^(C)

    no prophets^(B) are left,
    and none of us knows how long this will be.

¹⁸ Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint;
    but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.^(A)

⁷ The seers will be ashamed^(A)
    and the diviners disgraced.^(B)
They will all cover^(C) their faces^(D)
    because there is no answer from God.^(E)”
