Contra el culto formalista

Encamínense a Betel y pequen,
a Guilgal y multipliquen sus pecados;
traigan cada mañana sus sacrificios
y cada tres días sus diezmos.
Quemen panes sin levadura en acción de gracias
y anuncien a bombo y platillo
sus ofrendas voluntarias,
porque eso es, israelitas, lo que les gusta,
—oráculo del Señor Dios—.

Aunque castigado, Israel no aprende

Id a Bet-el, y prevaricad; aumentad en Gilgal la rebelión, y traed de mañana vuestros sacrificios, y vuestros diezmos cada tres días. Y ofreced sacrificio de alabanza con pan leudado, y proclamad, publicad ofrendas voluntarias, pues que así lo queréis, hijos de Israel, dice Jehová el Señor.

Each one straight ahead of her,
And you will [a]be cast into Harmon,”
Says the Lord.

“Come(B) to Bethel and transgress,
At (C)Gilgal multiply transgression;
(D)Bring your sacrifices every morning,
(E)Your tithes every three [b]days.
(F)Offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven,
Proclaim and announce (G)the freewill offerings;
For this you love,
You children of Israel!”
Says the Lord God.
