⁴ And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting ^(A)me?”

⁸ For thus said the Lord of hosts, after his glory sent me^[a] to the nations who plundered you, ^(A)for he who touches you touches ^(B)the apple of his eye:

One Body with Many Members

¹² For just as ^(A)the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, ^(B)so it is with Christ.

²² Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, ^(A)provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise ^(B)you too will be cut off.

¹⁴ And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me ^(A)in the Hebrew language,^[a] ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ ¹⁵ And I said, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ And the Lord said, ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.

⁷ And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’ ⁸ And I answered, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ And he said to me, ‘I am ^(A)Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.’

¹¹ But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.”

⁸ And he said, “Hagar, servant of Sarai, where have you come from and where are you going?” She said, “I am fleeing from my mistress Sarai.”

³⁰ because ^(A)we are members of his body.
