¹⁰ Now there was a disciple at Damascus named ^(A)Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, ^(B)“Here I am, Lord.”

¹² “And ^(A)one Ananias, a devout man ^(B)according to the law, ^(C)well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there,

^3 (A)About the ninth hour of the day^{[a] (B)}he saw clearly in a vision ^(C)an angel of God come in and say to him, “Cornelius.”

¹⁷ Now while Peter was inwardly perplexed as to what ^(A)the vision that he had seen might mean, behold, ^(B)the men who were sent by Cornelius, having made inquiry for Simon's house, stood at the gate ¹⁸ and called out to ask whether Simon who was called Peter was lodging there. ¹⁹ And while Peter was pondering ^(C)the vision, ^(D)the Spirit said to him, “Behold, three men are looking for you. ²⁰ Rise and go down and ^(E)accompany them without hesitation,^[a] for I have sent them.”

²⁶ But if he says, ‘I have no ^(A)pleasure in you,’ behold, here I am, ^(B)let him do to me what seems good to him.”

⁸ And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” Then Eli perceived that the Lord was calling the boy. ⁹ Therefore Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down, and if he calls you, you shall say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant hears.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

¹⁰ And the Lord came and stood, calling as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant hears.”

⁴ Then the Lord called Samuel, and he said, “Here I am!”

⁴ When the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, ^(A)God called to him ^(B)out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”
