²⁹ And the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.”

¹⁹ And while Peter was pondering ^(A)the vision, ^(B)the Spirit said to him, “Behold, three men are looking for you.

¹² And the Spirit told me to go with them, ^(A)making no distinction. ^(B)These six brothers also accompanied me, and we entered the man's house.

²² And now, behold, I am going to Jerusalem, constrained ^(A)by^[a] the Spirit, not knowing what will happen to me there, ²³ except that ^(B)the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that ^(C)imprisonment and ^(D)afflictions await me.

The Macedonian Call

⁶ And ^(A)they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia. ⁷ And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but ^(B)the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them.

² While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, ^(A)the Holy Spirit said, ^(B)“Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul ^(C)for the work to which I have called them.” ³ Then after fasting and ^(D)praying they laid their hands on them and ^(E)sent them off.

⁴ So, being sent out ^(F)by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus.

Some Will Depart from the Faith

4 Now ^(A)the Spirit expressly says that ^(B)in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to ^(C)deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,

¹¹ And coming to us, he ^(A)took Paul's belt and bound his own feet and hands and said, ^(B)“Thus says the Holy Spirit, ^(C)‘This is how the Jews^[a] at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and ^(D)deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”
