They Had Everything in Common

³² Now the full number of those who believed were of ^(A)one heart and ^(B)soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but ^(C)they had everything in common.

Divisions in the Church

¹⁰ I appeal to you, brothers,^[a] by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no ^(A)divisions among you, but that you be united ^(B)in the same mind and the same judgment.

² with all ^(A)humility and ^(B)gentleness, with ^(C)patience, ^(D)bearing with one another in love, ³ eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in ^(E)the bond of peace. ⁴ There is ^(F)one body and ^(G)one Spirit—just as you were called to the one ^(H)hope that belongs to your call— ^5 (I)one Lord, ^(J)one faith, ^(K)one baptism, ^6 (L)one God and Father of all, ^(M)who is over all and through all and in all.

Suffering for Righteousness' Sake

⁸ Finally, all of you, ^(A)have unity of mind, sympathy, ^(B)brotherly love, ^(C)a tender heart, and ^(D)a humble mind.

^21 (A)that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that ^(B)they also may be in ^(C)us, so that the world ^(D)may believe that you have sent me. ^22 (E)The glory that you have given me ^(F)I have given to them, ^(G)that they may be one even as we are one, ^23 (H)I in them and you in me, ^(I)that they may become perfectly one, ^(J)so that the world may know that you sent me and ^(K)loved them even as ^(L)you loved me.

Christ's Example of Humility

2 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from ^(A)love, any ^(B)participation in the Spirit, any ^(C)affection and sympathy, ^2 (D)complete my joy by being ^(E)of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.

Final Greetings

¹¹ Finally, brothers,^[a] rejoice. ^(A)Aim for restoration, comfort one another,^{[b] (B)}agree with one another, ^(C)live in peace; and the God of love and ^(D)peace will be with you.

One Body with Many Members

¹² For just as ^(A)the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, ^(B)so it is with Christ. ¹³ For ^(C)in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—^(D)Jews or Greeks, slaves^[a] or free—and ^(E)all were made to drink of one Spirit.

¹⁴ For the body does not consist of one member but of many.

⁴⁴ And all who believed were together and ^(A)had all things in common. ⁴⁵ And ^(B)they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. ⁴⁶ And day by day, ^(C)attending the temple ^(D)together and ^(E)breaking bread in their homes, they received their food ^(F)with glad and generous hearts,
