24 And when they heard this, they lifted their voices to God with one accord and said, “O [a]Lord, it is You who (A)made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that is in them, 25 who (B)by the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of our father David Your servant, said,

(C)Why did the [b]Gentiles rage,
And the peoples devise futile things?
26 (D)The kings of the earth [c]took their stand,
And the rulers were gathered together
Against the Lord and against His [d](E)Christ.’

27 For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy [e](F)servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both (G)Herod and (H)Pontius Pilate, along with (I)the [f]Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, 28 to do whatever Your hand and (J)Your purpose predestined to occur. 29 And [g]now, Lord, take note of their threats, and grant that Your bond-servants may (K)speak Your word with all (L)confidence, 30 while You extend Your hand to heal, and [h](M)signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy [i](N)servant Jesus.”

24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?

26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

26 the kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ;

27 for gathered together of a truth against Thy holy child Jesus, whom Thou didst anoint, were both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with nations and peoples of Israel,

28 to do whatever Thy hand and Thy counsel did determine before to come to pass.

29 `And now, Lord, look upon their threatenings, and grant to Thy servants with all freedom to speak Thy word,

30 in the stretching forth of Thy hand, for healing, and signs, and wonders, to come to pass through the name of Thy holy child Jesus.'
