¹⁴ There we found ^(A)brothers^[a] and were invited to stay with them for seven days. And so we came to Rome.

⁷ When we had finished the voyage from Tyre, we arrived at Ptolemais, and we greeted ^(A)the brothers^[a] and stayed with them for one day. ⁸ On the next day we departed and came to Caesarea, and we entered the house of ^(B)Philip ^(C)the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him.

⁴ And having sought out the disciples, we stayed there for seven days. And ^(A)through the Spirit they were telling Paul not to go on to Jerusalem.

⁶ but we sailed away from Philippi after ^(A)the days of Unleavened Bread, and in five days we came to them at Troas, where we stayed for seven days.

Paul in Ephesus

19 And it happened that while ^(A)Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed ^(B)through the inland^[a] country and came to Ephesus. There he found some disciples.

¹⁰ He waited another seven days, and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark. ¹¹ And the dove came back to him in the evening, and behold, in her mouth was a freshly plucked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the waters had subsided from the earth. ¹² Then he waited another seven days and sent forth the dove, and she did not return to him anymore.

⁴ For in seven days ^(A)I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, ^(B)and every living thing^[a] that I have made I will blot out from the face of the ground.”

⁴² And it became known throughout all Joppa, and ^(A)many believed in the Lord. ⁴³ And he stayed in Joppa for many days ^(B)with one Simon, a tanner.

²³ So the saying spread abroad among ^(A)the brothers^[a] that this disciple was not to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not to die, but, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?”

¹¹ And whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy in it and stay there until you depart.
