^9 (A)“I myself was convinced that I ought to do many things in opposing the name of ^(B)Jesus of Nazareth.

¹³ though formerly I was a blasphemer, ^(A)persecutor, and insolent opponent. But ^(B)I received mercy ^(C)because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief,

⁸ And I answered, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ And he said to me, ‘I am ^(A)Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.’

¹³ For you have heard of ^(A)my former life in Judaism, how ^(B)I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it. ¹⁴ And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people, so extremely ^(C)zealous was I for ^(D)the traditions of my fathers.

^6 (A)as to zeal, ^(B)a persecutor of the church; ^(C)as to righteousness under the law,^[a] blameless.

² For I bear them witness that ^(A)they have a zeal for God, ^(B)but not according to knowledge.

⁵ For we have found this man a plague, ^(A)one who stirs up riots among all the Jews throughout the world and is a ringleader of ^(B)the sect of the Nazarenes.

¹³ Then Paul answered, ^(A)“What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For ^(B)I am ready not only to be imprisoned but even to die in Jerusalem ^(C)for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

¹⁶ For ^(A)I will show him how much ^(B)he must suffer ^(C)for the sake of my name.”

⁶ But Peter said, ^(A)“I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. ^(B)In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!”
