³⁶ “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord^(A) and Messiah.”^(B)

³⁰ The God of our ancestors^(A) raised Jesus from the dead^(B)—whom you killed by hanging him on a cross.^{(C) 31} God exalted him to his own right hand^(D) as Prince and Savior^(E) that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins.^(F)

⁸ If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.^{(A) 9} For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life^(B) so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.^(C)

¹⁰ You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister^[a]? Or why do you treat them with contempt?^(D) For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.^{(E) 11} It is written:

¹² So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.^(H)

¹⁰ For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us^(A) for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

¹¹ Jesus is

¹² Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”^(B)

³⁰ Then they will know that I, the Lord their God, am with them and that they, the Israelites, are my people, declares the Sovereign Lord.^(A)

⁷ and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven^(A) in blazing fire^(B) with his powerful angels.^{(C) 8} He will punish^(D) those who do not know God^(E) and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.^{(F) 9} They will be punished with everlasting destruction^(G) and shut out from the presence of the Lord^(H) and from the glory of his might^{(I) 10} on the day^(J) he comes to be glorified^(K) in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.^(L)

Cleansing From Sin

13 “On that day a fountain^(A) will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse^(B) them from sin and impurity.

³⁶ You know the message^(A) God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news^(B) of peace^(C) through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.^{(D) 37} You know what has happened throughout the province of Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached— ³⁸ how God anointed^(E) Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing^(F) all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.^(G)

³⁹ “We are witnesses^(H) of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross,^{(I) 40} but God raised him from the dead^(J) on the third day and caused him to be seen. ⁴¹ He was not seen by all the people,^(K) but by witnesses whom God had already chosen—by us who ate^(L) and drank with him after he rose from the dead. ⁴² He commanded us to preach to the people^(M) and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead.^(N)
