The Lord Will Pour Out His Spirit

³⁰ “And I will show ^(F)wonders in the heavens and ^(G)on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. ^31 (H)The sun shall be turned to darkness, ^(I)and the moon to blood, ^(J)before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. ³² And it shall come to pass that ^(K)everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. ^(L)For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those who escape, as the Lord has said, and among ^(M)the survivors shall be those whom the Lord calls.

⁴ But when ^(A)the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, ⁵ he saved us, ^(B)not because of works done by us in righteousness, but ^(C)according to his own mercy, by ^(D)the washing of regeneration and ^(E)renewal of the Holy Spirit, ⁶ whom he ^(F)poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,

⁴⁵ And the believers from among ^(A)the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed, because ^(B)the gift of the Holy Spirit ^(C)was poured out even on the Gentiles.

³⁹ Now ^(A)this he said about the Spirit, ^(B)whom those who believed in him were to receive, ^(C)for as yet the Spirit had not been ^(D)given, ^(E)because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Him Whom They Have Pierced

¹⁰ “And ^(A)I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and ^(B)pleas for mercy, so that, ^(C)when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, ^(D)they shall mourn for him, ^(E)as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.

^19 (A)And I will give them one heart, and ^(B)a new spirit I will put within them. ^(C)I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh ^(D)and give them a heart of flesh,

² but ^(A)in these last days ^(B)he has spoken to us by ^(C)his Son, whom he appointed ^(D)the heir of all things, ^(E)through whom also he created ^(F)the world.
