Paul in Corinth
18 After this Paul[a] left Athens and went to Corinth. 2 And he found a Jew named (A)Aquila, a native of Pontus, recently come from Italy with his wife (B)Priscilla, because (C)Claudius had commanded all the Jews to leave Rome. And he went to see them, 3 and (D)because he was of the same trade he stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade. 4 And (E)he reasoned in the synagogue (F)every Sabbath, and tried to persuade Jews and Greeks.
5 (G)When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul (H)was occupied with the word, (I)testifying to the Jews that the Christ was (J)Jesus. 6 And when they opposed and reviled him, (K)he shook out his garments and said to them, (L)“Your blood be on your own heads! (M)I am innocent. (N)From now on I will go to the Gentiles.” 7 And he left there and went to the house of a man named Titius (O)Justus, (P)a worshiper of God. His house was next door to the synagogue. 8 (Q)Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, together (R)with his entire household. And many of the Corinthians hearing Paul believed and were baptized. 9 And the Lord said to Paul (S)one night in (T)a vision, (U)“Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, 10 (V)for I am with you, and (W)no one will attack you to harm you, for (X)I have many in this city who are my people.” 11 And he stayed a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
12 But when Gallio was (Y)proconsul of Achaia, (Z)the Jews[b] made a united attack on Paul and (AA)brought him before the tribunal, 13 saying, “This man is persuading people to worship God contrary to (AB)the law.” 14 But when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, “If it were a matter of wrongdoing or vicious (AC)crime, O Jews, I would have reason to accept your complaint. 15 But (AD)since it is a matter of questions about words and names and (AE)your own law, see to it yourselves. I refuse to be a judge of these things.” 16 And he drove them from the tribunal. 17 And they all seized Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him in front of the tribunal. But Gallio paid no attention to any of this.
Paul Returns to Antioch
18 After this, Paul stayed many days longer and then took leave of (AF)the brothers[c] and set sail for Syria, and with him (AG)Priscilla and Aquila. At (AH)Cenchreae (AI)he had cut his hair, for he was under a vow. 19 And they came to (AJ)Ephesus, and he left them there, but (AK)he himself went into the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews. 20 When they asked him to stay for a longer period, he declined. 21 But on taking leave of them he said, “I will return to you (AL)if God wills,” and he set sail from Ephesus.
22 When he had landed at Caesarea, he (AM)went up and greeted the church, and then went down to Antioch. 23 After spending some time there, he departed and (AN)went from one place to the next through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, (AO)strengthening all the disciples.
Apollos Speaks Boldly in Ephesus
24 Now a Jew named (AP)Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquent man, (AQ)competent in the Scriptures. 25 He had been instructed in (AR)the way of the Lord. And (AS)being fervent in spirit,[d] he spoke and taught accurately the things concerning Jesus, though he knew only (AT)the baptism of John. 26 He began to speak boldly in the synagogue, but when (AU)Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him (AV)the way of God more accurately. 27 And when he wished to cross to (AW)Achaia, (AX)the brothers encouraged him and (AY)wrote to the disciples to welcome him. When he arrived, (AZ)he greatly helped those who through grace had believed, 28 for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public, showing by the Scriptures (BA)that the Christ was Jesus.

Nakipagkita si Pablo sa kanila. 3 Dahil pareho ang kanilang hanapbuhay, ang paggawa ng tolda, si Pablo ay doon na sa kanilang tahanan nakitira. Kasalanan na ninyo kung kayo'y mapahamak! Mula ngayo'y pupunta na ako sa mga Hentil.” 7 Kaya siya'y umalis doon at tumira sa bahay ng isang lalaking ang pangalan ay Tito Justo, isang taong may takot sa Diyos. Ang kanyang bahay ay katabi ng sinagoga. 8 Sumampalataya sa Panginoon si Crispo na pinuno ng sinagoga, kasama ang kanyang buong sambahayan. Sumampalataya at nabautismuhan ang maraming taga-Corinto dahil sa pakikinig kay Pablo. 9 Isang gabi, sinabi ng Panginoon kay Pablo sa isang pangitain, “Huwag kang matakot! Patuloy kang mangaral at huwag kang tumahimik. 10 Sapagkat kasama mo ako. Walang sinumang taong mananakit sa iyo sapagkat marami akong tagasunod sa lungsod na ito.” 11 Kaya't nanatili siya roon ng isang taon at anim na buwan, habang itinuturo sa kanila ang salita ng Diyos. 12 Subalit nang si Galio ang naging gobernador ng Acaia, nagkaisa ang mga Judio na dakpin si Pablo at dalhin sa hukuman. 13 Kanilang sinabi, “Hinihikayat ng taong ito ang mga tao na sumamba sa Diyos sa paraang labag sa batas.” 14 At nang magsasalita na si Pablo ay sinabi ni Galio sa mga Judio, “Kung ang usaping ito'y tungkol sa masamang gawa o mabigat na kasalanan, may dahilan akong pakinggan kayong mga Judio. 15 Subalit dahil ang usaping ito'y tungkol sa mga salita at mga pangalan at sa inyong sariling batas, kayo na ang bahala rito. Ayaw kong maging hukom sa mga bagay na iyan.” 16 At sila'y pinalabas niya sa hukuman. 17 Sinunggaban nilang lahat si Sostenes, ang tagapamahala ng sinagoga, at siya'y binugbog sa harapan ng hukuman. Ngunit hindi iyon pinansin ni Galio.
Ang Muling Pagbabalik sa Antioquia
18 Nanatili pa roon si Pablo ng ilang araw, at pagkatapos ay nagpaalam na sa mga kapatid. Bago siya naglayag, nagpaahit siya ng buhok sa Cencrea, dahil siya'y may panata. Buhat doo'y naglakbay siya patungong Syria, kasama ang mag-asawang sina Priscila at Aquila. 19 Pagdating nila sa Efeso ay iniwan niya roon ang dalawa, ngunit pumasok muna siya sa sinagoga at nakipagpaliwanagan sa mga Judio. 20 Nang siya'y pakiusapan nilang tumigil pa roon nang mas mahabang panahon, hindi siya pumayag. 21 Ngunit sinabi niya nang siya'y nagpaalam sa kanila, “Babalik ako sa inyo kung loloobin ng Diyos.” At siya'y naglayag buhat sa Efeso. 22 Pagdating niya sa Cesarea, pumunta siya sa Jerusalem at bumati sa iglesya, pagkatapos ay nagtungo sa Antioquia. 23 Pagkatapos tumigil doon nang ilang panahon, siya'y muling naglakbay at nagpalipat-lipat sa mga lupain ng Galacia at Frigia, habang pinalalakas ang pananampalataya ng mga alagad.

24 Dumating sa Efeso ang isang Judio na ang pangalan ay Apolos, na tubong Alejandria. Mahusay siyang magsalita at dalubhasa sa Kasulatan. 25 Naturuan ang taong ito tungkol sa Daan ng Panginoon. Maalab siyang nangaral at nagturo nang wasto tungkol kay Jesus, bagaman ang nalalaman lamang niya ay hanggang sa bautismo ni Juan. 26 Siya'y nagsimulang magsalita nang buong tapang sa sinagoga. Nang marinig siya nina Priscila at Aquila ay kanilang inanyayahan siya sa bahay nila at ipinaliwanag sa kanya nang mas mabuti ang Daan ng Diyos. 27 Nang ibig na niyang tumawid patungong Acaia, pinalakas ng mga kapatid ang kanyang loob at sinulatan nila ang mga alagad doon na siya'y malugod na tanggapin. Pagdating niya roon, malaki ang kanyang naitulong sa mga taong sumampalataya dahil sa kagandahang-loob ng Diyos. 28 Sapagkat makapangyarihan niyang dinaig sa harap ng madla ang mga Judio, at mula sa mga Kasulatan ay pinatunayang si Jesus ang Cristo.

18 After these things Paul departed from Athens and went to Corinth. 2 And he found a certain Jew named (A)Aquila, born in Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla (because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to depart from Rome); and he came to them. 3 So, because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them (B)and worked; for by occupation they were tentmakers. 4 (C)And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.
5 (D)When Silas and Timothy had come from Macedonia, Paul was (E)compelled [a]by the Spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ. 6 But (F)when they opposed him and blasphemed, (G)he shook his garments and said to them, (H)“Your blood be upon your own heads; (I)I am clean. (J)From now on I will go to the Gentiles.” 7 And he departed from there and entered the house of a certain man named [b]Justus, one who worshiped God, whose house was next door to the synagogue. 8 (K)Then Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his household. And many of the Corinthians, hearing, believed and were baptized.
9 Now (L)the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, “Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; 10 (M)for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.” 11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
12 When Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews with one accord rose up against Paul and brought him to the [c]judgment seat, 13 saying, “This fellow persuades men to worship God contrary to the law.”
14 And when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, “If it were a matter of wrongdoing or wicked crimes, O Jews, there would be reason why I should bear with you. 15 But if it is a (N)question of words and names and your own law, look to it yourselves; for I do not want to be a judge of such matters.” 16 And he drove them from the judgment seat. 17 Then [d]all the Greeks took (O)Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment seat. But Gallio took no notice of these things.
Paul Returns to Antioch
18 So Paul still remained [e]a good while. Then he took leave of the brethren and sailed for Syria, and Priscilla and Aquila were with him. (P)He had his hair cut off at (Q)Cenchrea, for he had taken a vow. 19 And he came to Ephesus, and left them there; but he himself entered the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews. 20 When they asked him to stay a longer time with them, he did not consent, 21 but took leave of them, saying, (R)“I[f] must by all means keep this coming feast in Jerusalem; but I will return again to you, (S)God willing.” And he sailed from Ephesus.
22 And when he had landed at (T)Caesarea, and [g]gone up and greeted the church, he went down to Antioch. 23 After he had spent some time there, he departed and went over the region of (U)Galatia and Phrygia [h]in order, (V)strengthening all the disciples.
Ministry of Apollos
24 (W)Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus. 25 This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being (X)fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, (Y)though he knew only the baptism of John. 26 So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately. 27 And when he desired to cross to Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him; and when he arrived, (Z)he greatly helped those who had believed through grace; 28 for he vigorously refuted the Jews publicly, (AA)showing from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.
