⁷ And he left there and went to the house of a man named Titius ^(A)Justus, ^(B)a worshiper of God. His house was next door to the synagogue.

¹⁴ One who heard us was a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple goods, ^(A)who was a worshiper of God. The Lord ^(B)opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul.

¹¹ and Jesus who is called ^(A)Justus. ^(B)These are the only men of the circumcision among my fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and ^(C)they have been a comfort to me.

⁴ And ^(A)some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did ^(B)a great many of the devout ^(C)Greeks and not a few of the leading women.

⁴² As they went out, the people begged that these things might be told them the next Sabbath.

²² And they said, “Cornelius, a centurion, an upright and ^(A)God-fearing man, who is well spoken of by the whole Jewish nation, was directed by ^(B)a holy angel to send for you to come to his house and ^(C)to hear what you have to say.”

² a devout man ^(A)who feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God.
