²⁴ Then they prayed, saying, “Lord, you know the hearts of everyone. Show us which one of these two you have chosen ²⁵ to take the place in this apostolic ministry that Judas abandoned to go to his own place.” ²⁶ Then they cast lots for them, and the lot fell to Matthias, who was then added to the eleven apostles.
