22 “You that are Israelites,[a] listen to what I have to say: Jesus of Nazareth,[b] a man attested to you by God with deeds of power, wonders, and signs that God did through him among you, as you yourselves know— 23 this man, handed over to you according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of those outside the law. 24 But God raised him up, having freed him from death,[c] because it was impossible for him to be held in its power. 25 For David says concerning him,
‘I saw the Lord always before me,
for he is at my right hand so that I will not be shaken;
26 therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced;
moreover my flesh will live in hope.
27 For you will not abandon my soul to Hades,
or let your Holy One experience corruption.
28 You have made known to me the ways of life;
you will make me full of gladness with your presence.’
29 “Fellow Israelites,[d] I may say to you confidently of our ancestor David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30 Since he was a prophet, he knew that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would put one of his descendants on his throne. 31 Foreseeing this, David[e] spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah,[f] saying,
‘He was not abandoned to Hades,
nor did his flesh experience corruption.’
32 This Jesus God raised up, and of that all of us are witnesses. 33 Being therefore exalted at[g] the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you both see and hear. 34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says,
‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at my right hand,
35 until I make your enemies your footstool.”’
36 Therefore let the entire house of Israel know with certainty that God has made him both Lord and Messiah,[h] this Jesus whom you crucified.”

Gesù il Nazareno, uomo che Dio ha accreditato fra di voi mediante opere potenti, prodigi e segni che Dio fece per mezzo di lui tra di voi, come voi stessi ben sapete, 23 quest’uomo, quando vi fu dato nelle mani per il determinato consiglio e la prescienza di Dio, voi [lo prendeste e], per mano di iniqui, inchiodandolo sulla croce, lo uccideste; 24 ma Dio lo risuscitò, avendolo sciolto dagli angosciosi legami della morte, perché non era possibile che egli fosse da essa trattenuto. 25 Infatti Davide dice di lui:
“Io ho avuto il Signore continuamente davanti agli occhi, perché egli è alla mia destra, affinché io non sia smosso.
26 Per questo si è rallegrato il mio cuore, la mia lingua ha giubilato e anche la mia carne riposerà nella speranza;
27 perché tu non lascerai l’anima mia nell’Ades[a] e non permetterai che il tuo Santo subisca[b] la decomposizione.
28 Tu mi hai fatto conoscere le vie della vita. Tu mi riempirai di letizia con la tua presenza”[c].
29 Fratelli[d], si può ben dire liberamente riguardo al patriarca Davide che egli morì e fu sepolto; e la sua tomba è ancora al giorno d’oggi tra di noi. 30 Egli dunque, essendo profeta e sapendo che Dio gli aveva promesso con giuramento che sul suo trono avrebbe fatto sedere uno dei suoi discendenti[e], 31 previde la risurrezione di Cristo e ne parlò dicendo che non sarebbe stato lasciato[f] nel soggiorno dei morti[g], e che la sua carne non avrebbe subìto[h] la decomposizione. 32 Questo Gesù, Dio lo ha risuscitato; di ciò noi tutti siamo testimoni. 33 Egli dunque, essendo stato esaltato dalla destra di Dio[i] e avendo ricevuto dal Padre lo Spirito Santo promesso, ha sparso quello che ora vedete e udite. 34 Davide infatti non è salito in cielo; eppure egli stesso dice:
«Il Signore ha detto al mio Signore: “Siedi alla mia destra,
35 finché io abbia posto i tuoi nemici come sgabello dei tuoi piedi”»[j].
36 Sappia dunque con certezza tutta la casa d’Israele che Dio ha costituito Signore e Cristo quel Gesù che voi avete crocifisso».

22 Izráelita férfiak, halljátok meg ezeket az igéket! A názáreti Jézust, azt a férfiút, akit az Isten igazolt előttetek erőkkel, csodákkal és jelekkel, amelyeket általa tett az Isten közöttetek, ahogyan magatok is tudjátok,
23 azt, aki az Isten elhatározott döntése és terve szerint adatott oda, ti a pogányok keze által felszegeztétek és megöltétek.
24 De őt az Isten, miután feloldotta a halál fájdalmait, feltámasztotta, mivel lehetetlen volt, hogy a halál fogva tartsa őt.
25 Mert ezt mondja róla Dávid: Láttam az Urat magam előtt mindenkor, mert jobbom felől van, hogy meg ne inogjak.

22 Ecoutez bien, Israélites, ce que j’ai à vous dire. Vous le savez tous : Jésus de Nazareth – cet homme dont Dieu vous a montré qu’il l’approuvait en accomplissant, par son moyen, au milieu de vous des miracles, des signes et des actes extraordinaires – 23 a été livré entre vos mains conformément à la décision que Dieu avait prise et au projet qu’il avait établi d’avance. Et vous, vous l’avez tué en le faisant crucifier par des hommes qui ne connaissent pas Dieu. 24 Mais Dieu a brisé les liens de la mort : il l’a ressuscité, car il était impossible que la mort le retienne captif. 25 En effet, David dit de lui :
Je garde constamment |les yeux fixés sur le Seigneur,
car il est à ma droite, |pour que je ne vacille pas.
26 Voilà pourquoi mon cœur |est dans la joie |et mes paroles |débordent d’allégresse.
Même mon corps reposera |dans l’espérance ;
27 tu ne m’abandonneras pas |dans le séjour des morts,

32 Dieu a ressuscité ce Jésus dont je parle : nous en sommes tous témoins. 33 Ensuite, il a été élevé pour siéger à la droite de Dieu[f]. Et maintenant, comme Dieu l’a promis, il a reçu du Père l’Esprit Saint et il l’a répandu sur nous. C’est là ce que vous voyez et entendez.
34 En effet, David, lui, n’est pas monté au ciel, mais il a dit :
Le Seigneur a dit à mon Seigneur :
Viens siéger à ma droite[g]
35 jusqu’à ce que j’aie mis |tes ennemis |à terre sous tes pieds[h].
36 Voici donc ce que tout le peuple d’Israël doit savoir avec une entière certitude : Dieu a fait Seigneur et Messie ce Jésus que vous avez crucifié.

35 The next day John again was standing with two of his disciples, 36 and as he watched Jesus walk by, he exclaimed, “Look, here is the Lamb of God!” 37 The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus. 38 When Jesus turned and saw them following, he said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” (which translated means Teacher), “where are you staying?” 39 He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where he was staying, and they remained with him that day. It was about four o’clock in the afternoon. 40 One of the two who heard John speak and followed him was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. 41 He first found his brother Simon and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated Anointed[a]). 42 He brought Simon[b] to Jesus, who looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You are to be called Cephas” (which is translated Peter[c]).

43 The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Follow me.” 44 Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found him about whom Moses in the law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus son of Joseph from Nazareth.” 46 Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” 47 When Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him, he said of him, “Here is truly an Israelite in whom there is no deceit!” 48 Nathanael asked him, “Where did you get to know me?” Jesus answered, “I saw you under the fig tree before Philip called you.” 49 Nathanael replied, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” 50 Jesus answered, “Do you believe because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree? 35 Másnap ismét ott állt János két tanítványával együtt,

37 Meghallotta a két tanítvány, hogy ő ezt mondta, és követték Jézust.
38 Jézus megfordult, és amikor meglátta, hogy követik őt, megszólította őket: "Mit kerestek?" Ők pedig ezt válaszolták: "Rabbi - ami azt jelenti: Mester -, hol van a lakásod?"
39 Ő így szólt: "Jöjjetek, és meglátjátok." Elmentek tehát, meglátták, hol lakik, és nála maradtak azon a napon; körülbelül délután négy óra volt ekkor.

35 Le lendemain, Jean était de nouveau là, avec deux de ses disciples. 36 Il vit Jésus qui passait, et il dit : Voici l’Agneau de Dieu !
37 Les deux disciples entendirent les paroles de Jean et se mirent à suivre Jésus.
38 Celui-ci se retourna, vit qu’ils le suivaient et leur demanda : Que désirez-vous ?
– Rabbi – c’est-à-dire Maître –, lui dirent-ils, où habites-tu ?
39 – Venez, leur répondit-il, et vous le verrez. Ils l’accompagnèrent donc et virent où il habitait. Il était environ quatre heures de l’après-midi. Ils passèrent le reste de la journée avec lui.
40 André, le frère de Simon Pierre, était l’un de ces deux hommes qui, sur la déclaration de Jean, s’étaient mis à suivre Jésus.
41 Il alla tout d’abord voir son frère Simon et lui dit : Nous avons trouvé le Messie (ce qui se traduit par Christ).
42 Et il le conduisit auprès de Jésus. Jésus le regarda attentivement et lui dit : Tu es Simon, fils de Jonas. Eh bien, on t’appellera Céphas – ce qui veut dire Pierre.
43 Le lendemain, Jésus décida de retourner en Galilée. Il rencontra Philippe et lui dit : Suis-moi !
44 Philippe était originaire de Bethsaïda[a], la ville d’André et de Pierre. 45 Philippe, à son tour, alla voir Nathanaël et lui dit : Nous avons trouvé celui dont Moïse a parlé dans la Loi[b] et que les prophètes ont annoncé : c’est Jésus, le fils de Joseph, de la ville de Nazareth.
46 – De Nazareth ? répondit Nathanaël. Que peut-il venir de bon de Nazareth ?
– Viens et vois toi-même ! répondit Philippe.
47 Jésus vit Nathanaël s’avancer vers lui. Alors il dit : Voilà un véritable Israélite, un homme d’une parfaite droiture.
48 – D’où me connais-tu ? lui demanda Nathanaël.
– Avant même que Philippe t’appelle, lui répondit Jésus, lorsque tu étais sous le figuier, je t’ai vu.
49 – Maître, s’écria Nathanaël, tu es le Fils de Dieu, tu es le Roi d’Israël !
50 – Tu crois, lui répondit Jésus, parce que je t’ai dit que je t’ai vu sous le figuier ? Tu verras de bien plus grandes choses encore. 51 Et il ajouta : Oui, je vous l’assure, vous verrez le ciel ouvert et les anges de Dieu monter et descendre entre ciel et terre par l’intermédiaire du Fils de l’homme[c].
