Working Together

Dear friend, you have always been faithful in helping other followers of the Lord, even the ones you didn't know before. They have told the church about your love. They say you were good enough to welcome them and to send them on their mission in a way God's servants deserve. When they left to tell others about the Lord, they decided not to accept help from anyone who wasn't a follower.

My dear friend, it is good that you continue to help the believers. They are people you don’t even know. They told the church about the love you have. Please help them to continue their trip. Help them in a way that will please God. They went on their trip to serve Christ. They did not accept any help from people who are not believers.

Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brethren [a]and for strangers, who have borne witness of your love before the church. If you send them forward on their journey in a manner worthy of God, you will do well, because they went forth for His name’s sake, (A)taking nothing from the Gentiles.

Dear friend, you act faithfully in whatever you do for our brothers and sisters, even though they are strangers. They spoke highly of your love in front of the church. You all would do well to provide for their journey in a way that honors God, because they left on their journey for the sake of Jesus Christ without accepting any support from the Gentiles.
