Criticism of Diotrephes
9 I wrote something to the church, but Diotrephes, who likes to put himself first, doesn’t welcome us. 10 Because of this, if I come, I will bring up what he has done—making unjustified and wicked accusations against us. And as if that were not enough, he not only refuses to welcome the brothers and sisters but stops those who want to do so and even throws them out of the church!

9 I sent graphō a tis letter to the ho church ekklēsia, but alla Diotrephes Diotrephēs, who ho likes to be in charge philoprōteuō, does not ou acknowledge epidechomai our hēmeis authority . 10 For dia this reason houtos, should ean I come erchomai, I will bring up hypomimnēskō the ho things ergon he is doing poieō, disparaging phlyareō us hēmeis with malicious ponēros talk logos. And kai not mē satisfied arkeō with epi that houtos, he autos refuses oute to welcome epidechomai the ho brothers adelphos. He kōlyō even kai prevents kōlyō those ho who would like to boulomai and kai puts ekballō them out of ek the ho church ekklēsia.

New International Version
9 I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first, will not welcome us. 10 So when I come,(A) I will call attention to what he is doing, spreading malicious nonsense about us. Not satisfied with that, he even refuses to welcome other believers.(B) He also stops those who want to do so and puts them out of the church.(C)
