12 Absalom also sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, who was David’s counselor, and asked him to come from his town of Giloh to join him in offering the sacrifices. Thus the conspiracy grew in strength, and Absalom’s supporters continued to increase in numbers.

12 While Absalom was offering sacrifices, he also sent for Ahithophel(A) the Gilonite, David’s counselor,(B) to come from Giloh,(C) his hometown. And so the conspiracy gained strength, and Absalom’s following kept on increasing.(D)
