Blessed be God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Father of mercies, and God of all comfort,

which comforteth us in all our tribulation, that also we be able to comfort them, that be in all dis-ease, by the admonishing by which also we be admonished of God [that and we may comfort them, that be in all pressure, or overlaying, by the exhortation, or admonishing, by which and we be admonished of God].

For as the passions of Christ be plenteous in us, so also by Christ our comfort is plenteous.

And whether we be in tribulation, for your tribulation and health, either we be comforted, for your comfort[a], either we be admonished, for your admonishing and health. Which worketh in you the suffering of the same passions, which also we suffer,

that our hope be firm for you; witting for as ye be fellows of passions, so ye shall be also of comfort.

  1. 2 Corinthians 1:6 Forsooth whether we be troubled, or be pursued, it is for your teaching and health, or we be comforted, for your comfort

Blessed be God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, insomuch that we are able to comfort others who are troubled, in whatsoever tribulation it may be, with the same comfort that we ourselves are comforted with by God. For as the afflictions of Christ are plentiful in us, so also is our consolation plentiful by Christ.

Whether we are troubled regarding your consolation and salvation, which salvation shows her power in that you suffer the same afflictions that we also suffer, or whether we are comforted regarding your consolation and salvation, yet our hope is steadfast for you, inasmuch as we know that as you have your part in afflictions, so shall you be partakers of consolation.

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
