² Preach^(A) the word;^(B) be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke^(C) and encourage^(D)—with great patience and careful instruction.

¹⁵ These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.

¹³ Until I come,^(A) devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture,^(B) to preaching and to teaching.

¹³ This saying is true. Therefore rebuke^(A) them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith^(B)

¹⁵ Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. ¹⁶ Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save^(A) both yourself and your hearers.

¹⁴ And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle^(A) and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak,^(B) be patient with everyone.

⁶ Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.^(A)

²¹ Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.^(A)

²⁸ He is the one we proclaim, admonishing^(A) and teaching everyone with all wisdom,^(B) so that we may present everyone fully mature^(C) in Christ. ²⁹ To this end I strenuously^(D) contend^(E) with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.^(F)
