3 Încolo, fraţilor, rugaţi-vă(A) pentru noi ca Cuvântul Domnului să se răspândească şi să fie proslăvit, cum este la voi, 2 şi să(B) fim izbăviţi de oamenii nechibzuiţi şi răi, căci nu toţi au credinţa(C). 3 Credincios(D) este Domnul: El vă va întări şi vă va(E) păzi de cel rău. 4 Cu privire la voi, avem(F) încredere în Domnul că faceţi şi veţi face ce vă poruncim. 5 Domnul(G) să vă îndrepte inimile spre dragostea lui Dumnezeu şi spre răbdarea lui Hristos! 6 În Numele Domnului nostru Isus Hristos, vă poruncim, fraţilor, să(H) vă depărtaţi de(I) orice frate care trăieşte în(J) neorânduială, şi nu după învăţăturile(K) pe care le-aţi primit de la noi. 7 Voi înşivă ştiţi ce(L) trebuie să faceţi ca să ne urmaţi, căci noi(M) n-am trăit în neorânduială, între voi. 8 N-am mâncat de pomană pâinea nimănui; ci, lucrând şi ostenindu-ne(N), am muncit zi şi noapte, ca să nu fim povară nimănui dintre voi. 9 Nu(O) că n-am fi avut dreptul acesta, dar am vrut să vă dăm în(P) noi înşine o pildă vrednică de urmat. 10 Căci, când eram la voi, vă spuneam lămurit: „Cine(Q) nu vrea să lucreze nici să nu mănânce”. 11 Auzim însă că unii dintre voi trăiesc(R) în neorânduială, nu lucrează nimic(S), ci se ţin de nimicuri. 12 Îndemnăm(T) pe oamenii aceştia şi-i sfătuim, în Domnul nostru Isus Hristos, să-şi(U) mănânce pâinea lucrând în linişte. 13 Voi, fraţilor, să(V) nu osteniţi în facerea binelui. 14 Şi dacă n-ascultă cineva ce spunem noi în această epistolă, însemnaţi-vi-l şi să(W) n-aveţi niciun fel de legături cu el, ca să-i fie ruşine. 15 Să(X) nu-l socotiţi ca pe un vrăjmaş, ci(Y) să-l mustraţi ca pe un frate. 16 Însuşi Domnul(Z) păcii să vă dea totdeauna pacea în orice fel. Domnul să fie cu voi cu toţi! 17 Urarea de sănătate(AA) este scrisă cu mâna mea: Pavel. Acesta este semnul în fiecare epistolă; aşa scriu eu. 18 Harul(AB) Domnului nostru Isus Hristos să fie cu voi cu toţi! Amin.

3 (A)Най-после, братя, молете се за нас, да напредва бързо Господнето слово и да се прославя, както и у вас,
2 (B)и да се избавим от неразбраните и нечестиви човеци; защото не във всички има вяра.
3 (C)Но верен е Господ, Който ще ви утвърди и ще ви опази от лукавия.
4 (D)И сме уверени в Господа за вас, че и вършите това, и ще вършите това, което заповядваме.
5 (E)А Господ да насочи сърцата ви в пътя на Божията любов и в Христовото търпение.
Задължения за ежедневен труд
6 (F)Заръчваме ви още, братя, в името на нашия Господ Исус Христос, да страните от всеки брат, който постъпва нередно, а не по преданието, което сте приели от нас.
7 (G)Понеже самите вие знаете как трябва да ни подражавате, защото ние не вършихме нередни неща между вас,
8 (H)нито даром ядохме хляб у някого, а с труд и усилие работихме нощем и денем, за да не бъдем в тежест на нито един от вас;
9 (I)не че нямаме правото, а за да ви представим себе си за пример, за да ни подражавате.
10 (J)Защото и когато бяхме при вас, заръчахме ви това: Ако някой не иска да работи, той не бива и да яде.
11 (K)Понеже слушаме как някои постъпвали нередно между вас, като не работели нищо, а се месели в чужди работи.
12 (L)На такива заръчваме и ги увещаваме в името на Господ Исус Христос да работят тихо и да ядат своя си хляб.
13 (M)А на вас, братя, да не ви дотяга да вършите добро.
14 (N)И ако някой не се покорява на нашето слово чрез това послание, забележете го, за да не се събирате с него, с цел да се засрами.
15 (O)Обаче недейте го смята за неприятел, а го наставлявайте като брат.
16 (P)А сам Господ на мира да ви дава мир винаги и всякак; Господ да бъде с всички ви.
17 (Q)Поздрава с моята собствена ръка, който е белег на всяко послание, аз, Павел, пиша така:
18 (R)Благодатта на нашия Господ Исус Христос да бъде с всички вас.

Request for Prayer
3 As for other matters, brothers and sisters,(A) pray for us(B) that the message of the Lord(C) may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.(D) 2 And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people,(E) for not everyone has faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful,(F) and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.(G) 4 We have confidence(H) in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. 5 May the Lord direct your hearts(I) into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.
Warning Against Idleness
6 In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,(J) we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from(K) every believer who is idle and disruptive(L) and does not live according to the teaching[a] you received from us.(M) 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example.(N) We were not idle when we were with you, 8 nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked(O) night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. 9 We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help,(P) but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate.(Q) 10 For even when we were with you,(R) we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work(S) shall not eat.”
11 We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies.(T) 12 Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ(U) to settle down and earn the food they eat.(V) 13 And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.(W)
14 Take special note of anyone who does not obey our instruction in this letter. Do not associate with them,(X) in order that they may feel ashamed.(Y) 15 Yet do not regard them as an enemy, but warn them as you would a fellow believer.(Z)
Final Greetings
16 Now may the Lord of peace(AA) himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.(AB)
17 I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand,(AC) which is the distinguishing mark in all my letters. This is how I write.
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.(AD)
