³⁰ David was climbing the slope of the Mount of Olives,^(A) weeping as he ascended. His head was covered,^(B) and he was walking barefoot.^(C) All of the people with him covered their heads and went up, weeping as they ascended.

⁴ On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,^(A) which faces Jerusalem on the east. The Mount of Olives will be split in half from east to west, forming a huge valley, so that half the mountain will move to the north and half to the south.

³⁷ During^(A) the day, he was teaching in the temple,^(B) but in the evening he would go out and spend the night on what is called the Mount of Olives.^(C)

The Prayer in the Garden

³⁹ He went out and made his way^(A) as usual^(B) to the Mount of Olives,^(C) and the disciples followed him.
