² One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof^(A) of the palace. From the roof he saw^(B) a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful,

²⁸ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.^(A)

Peter’s Vision^(A)

⁹ About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof^(B) to pray.

⁷ The end of all things is near.^(A) Therefore be alert and of sober mind^(B) so that you may pray.

⁶ So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep,^(A) but let us be awake^(B) and sober.^{(C) 7} For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night.^(D)
