⁷ Joab’s men went out after him, along with the Cherethites, the Pelethites, and all the warriors; they went out from Jerusalem to pursue Sheba son of Bichri.^(A)

¹⁸ Benaiah son of Jehoiada was over^[a] the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David’s sons were priests.^(A)

³⁸ So the priest Zadok, the prophet Nathan, Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites went down and had Solomon ride on King David’s mule and led him to Gihon.^(A)

²³ Now Joab was in command of all the army of Israel;^[a] Benaiah son of Jehoiada was in command of the Cherethites and the Pelethites;^(A)

¹⁸ All his officials passed by him, and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the six hundred Gittites who had followed him from Gath passed on before the king.^(A)

⁴⁴ the king has sent with him the priest Zadok, the prophet Nathan, Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites, and they had him ride on the king’s mule;

²² Such were the things Benaiah son of Jehoiada did and won a name beside the three warriors. ²³ He was renowned among the Thirty, but he did not attain to the Three. And David put him in charge of his bodyguard.^(A)
