⁸ The Ammonites came out and drew up in battle formation at the entrance of their city gate, while the Arameans of Zobah and Rehob and the men of Tob and Maakah were by themselves in the open country.

⁷ They hired thirty-two thousand chariots and charioteers, as well as the king of Maakah with his troops, who came and camped near Medeba,^(A) while the Ammonites were mustered from their towns and moved out for battle.

³¹ Nor did Asher^(A) drive out those living in Akko or Sidon^(B) or Ahlab or Akzib^(C) or Helbah or Aphek^(D) or Rehob.^(E)
