Jerusalem Burned
8 (A)Now on the seventh day of the (B)fifth month, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. 9 (C)And he burned the house of Yahweh, (D)the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem; even every great house he burned with fire. 10 So all the military force of the Chaldeans who were with the captain of the guard (E)tore down the walls around Jerusalem. 11 Then (F)the rest of the people who were left in the city and the defectors who had defected to the king of Babylon and the rest of the multitude, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took away into exile.

12 (A)Now on the tenth day of the fifth month, which was the (B)nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, (C)Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard, who stood before the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. 13 And he (D)burned the house of Yahweh, the (E)king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem; even every large house he burned with fire. 14 So all the military force of the Chaldeans who were with the captain of the guard (F)tore down all the walls around Jerusalem. 15 Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard (G)took away into exile some of the poorest of the people, the rest of the people who remained in the city, the [a](H)defectors who had defected to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the artisans.
