⁷ The Lord ^(A)was with him; he ^(B)prospered wherever he went. And he ^(C)rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him.

¹⁴ And David behaved wisely in all his ways, and ^(A)the Lord was with him.

⁷ So Ahaz sent messengers to ^(A)Tiglath-Pileser^[a] king of Assyria, saying, “I am your servant and your son. Come up and save me from the hand of the king of Syria and from the hand of the king of Israel, who rise up against me.”

^2 (A)The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. ³ And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord ^(B)made all he did ^[a]to prosper in his hand.

² And he went out ^[a]to meet Asa, and said to him: “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin. ^(A)The Lord is with you while you are with Him. ^(B)If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but ^(C)if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

³¹ What then shall we say to these things? ^(A)If God is for us, who can be against us?

^9 (A)“And the patriarchs, becoming envious, ^(B)sold Joseph into Egypt. ^(C)But God was with him ¹⁰ and delivered him out of all his troubles, ^(D)and gave him favor and wisdom in the presence of Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.

^20 (A)teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am ^(B)with you always, even to the end of the age.” ^[a]Amen.
