Hezekiah Reigns in Judah^(A)

18 Now it came to pass in the third year of ^(B)Hoshea the son of Elah, king of Israel, that ^(C)Hezekiah the son of Ahaz, king of Judah, began to reign.

²⁷ So Ahaz ^[a]rested with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, in Jerusalem; but they ^(A)did not bring him into the tombs of the kings of Israel. Then Hezekiah his son reigned in his place.

Hezekiah Reigns in Judah^(B)

29 Hezekiah ^(C)became king when he was twenty-five years old, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was ^[b]Abijah the daughter of Zechariah.

⁹ Uzziah begot Jotham, Jotham begot ^(A)Ahaz, and Ahaz begot Hezekiah. ^10 (B)Hezekiah begot Manasseh, Manasseh begot ^[a]Amon, and Amon begot ^(C)Josiah.

¹³ Ahaz his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh his son,

²⁰ So Ahaz rested with his fathers, and ^(A)was buried with his fathers in the City of David. Then Hezekiah his son reigned in his place.

Hoshea Reigns in Israel

17 In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah, ^(B)Hoshea the son of Elah became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned nine years.

⁹ Now ^(A)it came to pass in the fourth year of King Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea the son of Elah, king of Israel, that Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria and besieged it.

² Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and he did not do what was right in the sight of the Lord his God, as his father David had done.

³⁰ Then Hoshea the son of Elah led a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and struck and killed him; so he ^(A)reigned in his place in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.
