Mga Lingkod ng Bagong Tipan
3 Ipagmamalaki na naman ba naming muli ang aming sarili? O kailangan ba namin, gaya ng iba, ng mga sulat ng papuri ng aming mga sarili para sa inyo, o mula sa inyo? 2 Kayo mismo ang aming sulat na nakasulat sa aming mga puso at ito'y nauunawaan at nababasa ng lahat ng mga tao. 3 Ipinapahayag (A) ninyo na kayo'y sulat na ipinadala ni Cristo sa pamamagitan ng aming paglilingkod. Kayo'y isinulat hindi ng tinta, kundi ng Espiritu ng Diyos na buháy, hindi sa mga tapyas na yari sa bato kundi sa mga tapyas na gawa sa puso ng tao.
4 Mayroon kaming ganitong pagtitiwala sa pamamagitan ni Cristo sa harapan ng Diyos. 5 Hindi dahil sa mayroon kaming sariling kakayahan upang mag-angkin na sa amin galing ang anuman, kundi sa Diyos nanggaling ang aming kakayahan. 6 Ginawa (B) niya kaming karapat-dapat na maging mga lingkod ng bagong tipan, isang tipan na hindi batay sa titik, kundi sa Espiritu, sapagkat ang titik ay pumapatay, subalit ang Espiritu ay nagbibigay buhay.
7 Ngayon, (C) kung ang paglilingkod[a] na may dalang kamatayan na nakasulat at nakaukit sa mga bato ay dumating na may kaluwalhatian, anupa't ang mga Israelita ay hindi makatitig sa mukha ni Moises dahil sa kaluwalhatian nito, bagama't ang kaluwalhatiang iyon ay lumilipas, 8 di ba't magtataglay ng higit na kaluwalhatian ang paglilingkod na dala ng Espiritu? 9 Kung ang paglilingkod na may dalang kahatulan ay maluwalhati, lalong maluwalhati ang paglilingkod na may dalang katuwiran. 10 Sapagkat sa ganitong kalagayan, ang dating maluwalhati ay wala na ngayong kaluwalhatian, dahil doon sa may higit na kaluwalhatian. 11 At kung ang lumilipas ay dumating na may kaluwalhatian, ang nananatili ay lalong may kaluwalhatian.
12 Kaya't yamang taglay namin ang gayong pag-asa, napakalakas ng loob namin sa pagsasalita. 13 Hindi kami (D) katulad ni Moises, na nagtakip ng kanyang mukha upang hindi makatitig ang mga Israelita sa pagtatapos ng kaluwalhatiang naglalaho. 14 Ngunit nakasara ang kanilang mga pag-iisip, sapagkat hanggang sa araw na ito, kapag kanilang binabasa ang lumang tipan, ang dating talukbong ay naroroon pa rin, sapagkat sa pamamagitan lamang ni Cristo ito maaalis. 15 At hanggang ngayon, tuwing binabasa ang Kautusan ni Moises,[b] may talukbong na nakatakip sa kanilang puso. 16 Gayunman, (E) kapag ang isang tao ay lumalapit sa Panginoon, naaalis ang talukbong na iyon. 17 Ngayon, ang Panginoon ay ang Espiritu, at kung nasaan ang Espiritu ng Panginoon, doon ay may kalayaan. 18 At tayong lahat, na walang talukbong ang mukha, parang sa salamin nakikita sa pamamagitan natin ang kaluwalhatian ng Panginoon. Binabago ang ating anyo upang maging kalarawan niya, mula sa kaluwalhatian tungo sa kaluwalhatian, na nagmumula sa Panginoon na siyang Espiritu.

3 Are we beginning to commend ourselves(A) again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation(B) to you or from you? 2 You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone.(C) 3 You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God,(D) not on tablets of stone(E) but on tablets of human hearts.(F)
4 Such confidence(G) we have through Christ before God. 5 Not that we are competent in ourselves(H) to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.(I) 6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant(J)—not of the letter(K) but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.(L)
The Greater Glory of the New Covenant
7 Now if the ministry that brought death,(M) which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory,(N) transitory though it was, 8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? 9 If the ministry that brought condemnation(O) was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness!(P) 10 For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. 11 And if what was transitory came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!
12 Therefore, since we have such a hope,(Q) we are very bold.(R) 13 We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face(S) to prevent the Israelites from seeing the end of what was passing away. 14 But their minds were made dull,(T) for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant(U) is read.(V) It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord,(W) the veil is taken away.(X) 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit,(Y) and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.(Z) 18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate[a](AA) the Lord’s glory,(AB) are being transformed into his image(AC) with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

3 Cominciamo forse di nuovo a raccomandare noi stessi? O forse abbiamo bisogno, come altri, di lettere di raccomandazione per voi o da parte vostra? 2 La nostra lettera siete voi, lettera scritta nei nostri cuori, conosciuta e letta da tutti gli uomini. 3 E' noto infatti che voi siete una lettera di Cristo composta da noi, scritta non con inchiostro, ma con lo Spirito del Dio vivente, non su tavole di pietra, ma sulle tavole di carne dei vostri cuori.
4 Questa è la fiducia che abbiamo per mezzo di Cristo, davanti a Dio. 5 Non però che da noi stessi siamo capaci di pensare qualcosa come proveniente da noi, ma la nostra capacità viene da Dio, 6 che ci ha resi ministri adatti di una Nuova Alleanza, non della lettera ma dello Spirito; perché la lettera uccide, lo Spirito dà vita.
7 Se il ministero della morte, inciso in lettere su pietre, fu circonfuso di gloria, al punto che i figli d'Israele non potevano fissare il volto di Mosè a causa dello splendore pure effimero del suo volto, 8 quanto più sarà glorioso il ministero dello Spirito? 9 Se gia il ministero della condanna fu glorioso, molto di più abbonda di gloria il ministero della giustizia. 10 Anzi sotto quest'aspetto, quello che era glorioso non lo è più a confronto della sovraeminente gloria della Nuova Alleanza. 11 Se dunque ciò che era effimero fu glorioso, molto più lo sarà ciò che è duraturo. 12 Forti di tale speranza, ci comportiamo con molta franchezza 13 e non facciamo come Mosè che poneva un velo sul suo volto, perché i figli di Israele non vedessero la fine di ciò che era solo effimero. 14 Ma le loro menti furono accecate; infatti fino ad oggi quel medesimo velo rimane, non rimosso, alla lettura dell'Antico Testamento, perché è in Cristo che esso viene eliminato. 15 Fino ad oggi, quando si legge Mosè, un velo è steso sul loro cuore; 16 ma quando ci sarà la conversione al Signore, quel velo sarà tolto. 17 Il Signore è lo Spirito e dove c'è lo Spirito del Signore c'è libertà. 18 E noi tutti, a viso scoperto, riflettendo come in uno specchio la gloria del Signore, veniamo trasformati in quella medesima immagine, di gloria in gloria, secondo l'azione dello Spirito del Signore.

3 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?
2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.
12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

The Spirit, Not the Letter
4 And we have such trust through Christ toward God. 5 (H)Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but (I)our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as (J)ministers of (K)the new covenant, not (L)of the letter but of the [a]Spirit; for (M)the letter kills, (N)but the Spirit gives life.
Glory of the New Covenant
7 But if (O)the ministry of death, (P)written and engraved on stones, was glorious, (Q)so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, 8 how will (R)the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry (S)of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. 10 For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. 11 For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.
12 Therefore, since we have such hope, (T)we use great boldness of speech— 13 unlike Moses, (U)who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at (V)the end of what was passing away. 14 But (W)their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. 15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. 16 Nevertheless (X)when one turns to the Lord, (Y)the veil is taken away. 17 Now (Z)the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is (AA)liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding (AB)as in a mirror (AC)the glory of the Lord, (AD)are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as [b]by the Spirit of the Lord.
