3 ¿Ya comenzamos a hablar bien de nosotros mismos? ¿Estamos como algunos que llevan consigo cartas de recomendación para ustedes o de ustedes? ¿Será que las necesitamos nosotros? 2 Nuestra mejor carta son ustedes mismos. Esa carta está escrita en nuestro corazón y todo el mundo la conoce. 3 Ustedes son una carta de Cristo escrita por nosotros, no con tinta sino con el Espíritu del Dios viviente; no fue labrada en piedra, sino en las tablas del corazón humano.
4 Esta es la confianza que tenemos delante de Dios, por medio de Cristo.
5 No porque creamos que por nosotros mismos podemos hacer las cosas. Dios es la fuente de nuestro poder. 6 Él nos ha capacitado para que seamos siervos del nuevo pacto, no basado en la ley sino en la obra del Espíritu, porque la ley condena a muerte, pero el Espíritu da vida.
La gloria del nuevo pacto
7 El ministerio que conducía a la muerte fue grabado en piedras; era tan glorioso que el pueblo no podía fijar la vista en el rostro de Moisés. Esto se debía a que el rostro le resplandecía con la gloria de Dios, si bien aquella brillantez ya se estaba desvaneciendo.
8 ¿No debemos esperar una gloria mucho mayor en estos días del ministerio del Espíritu Santo? 9 Si el ministerio que conducía a la condenación fue tan glorioso, cuánto más glorioso será el ministerio que justifica al hombre ante Dios.
10 En realidad, lo que fue glorioso es insignificante si se lo compara con esta supereminente gloria. 11 Y si lo que era perecedero tuvo gloria, mucho más la tendrá lo que permanece.
12 Y como tenemos esta esperanza, podemos predicar con plena libertad. 13 No como Moisés, que se cubría el rostro con un velo para que los israelitas no vieran que la gloria se le desvanecía. 14 Sin embargo, aun hoy día, cuando leen el Antiguo Testamento, parecen tener el corazón y la mente cubiertos por ese mismo velo. Sólo Cristo puede quitarles el velo para que entiendan. 15 Sí, todavía hasta el día de hoy, siempre que leen los escritos de Moisés, un velo les cubre el entendimiento.
16 Pero cuando una persona se vuelve al Señor, el velo se le quita, 17 porque el Señor es el Espíritu, y donde está el Espíritu del Señor allí hay libertad. 18 Así que todos nosotros, con el rostro descubierto, reflejamos la gloria del Señor como si fuéramos espejos. Y el Espíritu del Señor nos va transformando de gloria en gloria, y cada vez nos parecemos más a él.

3 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?
2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.
12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Ministers of the New Covenant
3 (A)Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, (B)as some do, (C)letters of recommendation to you, or from you? 2 (D)You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on our[a] hearts, to be known and read by all. 3 And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of (E)the living God, not on (F)tablets of stone but on (G)tablets of (H)human hearts.[b]
4 (I)Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. 5 (J)Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but (K)our sufficiency is from God, 6 who has made us sufficient to be (L)ministers of (M)a new covenant, not of (N)the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but (O)the Spirit gives life.
7 Now if (P)the ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such glory (Q)that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses' face because of its glory, which was being brought to an end, 8 will not the ministry of the Spirit have even more glory? 9 For if there was glory in (R)the ministry of condemnation, (S)the ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory. 10 Indeed, in this case, what once had glory has come to have no glory at all, because of the glory that surpasses it. 11 For if what was being brought to an end came with glory, much more will what is permanent have glory.
12 Since we have such a hope, (T)we are very bold, 13 not like Moses, (U)who would put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze at the outcome of what was being brought to an end. 14 But (V)their minds were (W)hardened. For to this day, (X)when they read (Y)the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. 15 Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. 16 But when (Z)one[c] turns to the Lord, (AA)the veil is removed. 17 Now the Lord[d] is the Spirit, and where (AB)the Spirit of the Lord is, there is (AC)freedom. 18 And we all, with unveiled face, (AD)beholding (AE)the glory of the Lord,[e] (AF)are being transformed into the same image (AG)from one degree of glory to another.[f] For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

3 难道我们又是在称赞自己吗？难道我们像别人一样，需要拿着推荐信去见你们，或拿着你们的推荐信去见别人吗？ 2 你们自己就是我们的推荐信，写在了我们心坎上，众所周知，人人可读。 3 显然，你们是从基督而来的一封信，是我们工作的成果。这信不是用笔墨写成的，乃是借着永活上帝的灵写成的；不是写在石版上的，而是刻在心版上的。
4 我们靠着基督在上帝面前有这样的确信。 5 我们并不认为自己能够承担什么，我们能够承担全是靠上帝。 6 祂使我们能够担任新约的执事。这新约不是用律法条文立的，而是圣灵的工作，因为律法条文带给人死亡，但圣灵赐给人生命。
新约的荣耀

2 Corinthians 3
New International Reader's Version
3 Are we beginning to praise ourselves again? Some people need letters that speak well of them. Do we need those kinds of letters, either to you or from you? 2 You yourselves are our letter. You are written on our hearts. Everyone knows you and reads you. 3 You make it clear that you are a letter from Christ. You are the result of our work for God. You are a letter written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God. You are a letter written not on tablets made out of stone but on human hearts.
4 Through Christ, we can be sure of this before God. 5 In ourselves we are not able to claim anything for ourselves. The power to do what we do comes from God. 6 He has given us the power to serve under a new covenant. The covenant is not based on the written Law of Moses. It comes from the Holy Spirit. The written Law kills, but the Spirit gives life.
The Greater Glory of the New Covenant
7 The Law was written in letters on stone. Even though it was a way of serving God, it led to death. But even that way of serving God came with glory. The glory lasted for only a short time. Even so, the people of Israel couldn’t look at Moses’ face very long. 8 Since all this is true, won’t the work of the Holy Spirit be even more glorious? 9 The law that condemns people to death had glory. How much more glory does the work of the Spirit have! His work makes people right with God. 10 The glory of the old covenant is nothing compared with the far greater glory of the new. 11 The glory of the old lasts for only a short time. How much greater is the glory of the new! It will last forever.
12 Since we have that kind of hope, we are very bold. 13 We are not like Moses. He used to cover his face with a veil. That was to keep the people of Israel from seeing the end of what was passing away. 14 But their minds were made stubborn. To this day, the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. The veil has not been removed. Only faith in Christ can take it away. 15 To this day, when the Law of Moses is read, a veil covers the minds of those who hear it. 16 But when anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Holy Spirit. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, freedom is also there. 18 None of our faces are covered with a veil. All of us can see the Lord’s glory and think deeply about it. So we are being changed to become more like him so that we have more and more glory. And this glory comes from the Lord, who is the Holy Spirit.
