¹⁸ And we have sent with him ^(A)the brother whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches,

¹⁸ I urged Titus, and sent our ^(A)brother with him. Did Titus take advantage of you? Did we not walk in the same spirit? Did we not walk in the same steps?

¹⁹ and not only that, but who was also ^(A)chosen by the churches to travel with us with this gift, which is administered by us ^(B)to the glory of the Lord Himself and to show your ready mind,

Live as You Are Called

¹⁷ But as God has distributed to each one, as the Lord has called each one, so let him walk. And ^(A)so I ^[a]ordain in all the churches.

²² And we have sent with them our brother whom we have often proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, because of the great confidence which we have in you. ²³ If anyone inquires about ^(A)Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker concerning you. Or if our brethren are inquired about, they are ^(B)messengers^[a] of the churches, the glory of Christ.

Triumph in Christ

¹² Furthermore, ^(A)when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and ^(B)a ^[a]door was opened to me by the Lord,

⁴ who risked their own necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.
