⁷ by ^(A)truthful speech, and ^(B)the power of God; with ^(C)the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left;

² But we have renounced ^(A)disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice^[a] cunning or ^(B)to tamper with God's word, but ^(C)by the open statement of the truth ^(D)we would commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of God.

¹⁵ Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved,^[a] a worker ^(A)who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

^11 (A)Put on ^(B)the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against ^(C)the schemes of the devil. ¹² For ^(D)we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against ^(E)the rulers, against the authorities, against ^(F)the cosmic powers over ^(G)this present darkness, against ^(H)the spiritual forces of evil ^(I)in the heavenly places. ¹³ Therefore ^(J)take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in ^(K)the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. ¹⁴ Stand therefore, ^(L)having fastened on the belt of truth, and ^(M)having put on the breastplate of righteousness, ¹⁵ and, ^(N)as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. ¹⁶ In all circumstances take up ^(O)the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all ^(P)the flaming darts of ^(Q)the evil one; ¹⁷ and take ^(R)the helmet of salvation, and ^(S)the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, ¹⁸ praying ^(T)at all times ^(U)in the Spirit, ^(V)with all prayer and supplication. To that end, ^(W)keep alert with all perseverance, making ^(X)supplication for all the saints, ¹⁹ and ^(Y)also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth ^(Z)boldly to proclaim ^(AA)the mystery of the gospel, ²⁰ for which I ^(AB)am an ambassador ^(AC)in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

^18 (A)Of his own will he ^(B)brought us forth by the word of truth, ^(C)that we should be a kind of ^(D)firstfruits of his creatures.

⁸ But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, ^(A)having put on the breastplate of ^(B)faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.

^20 (A)Now to ^(B)him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, ^(C)according to the power at work within us,

⁴ For ^(A)he was crucified in weakness, but ^(B)lives by the power of God. For ^(C)we also are weak in him, but in dealing with you ^(D)we will live with him by the power of God.

⁴ For the ^(A)weapons of ^(B)our warfare are not of the flesh but have ^(C)divine power ^(D)to destroy strongholds. ⁵ We destroy arguments and ^(E)every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to ^(F)obey Christ,
