^4 (A)For though He was crucified in weakness, yet ^(B)He lives by the power of God. For ^(C)we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.

Christ’s Suffering and Ours

¹⁸ For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring ^[a]us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,

⁴ Therefore we were ^(A)buried with Him through baptism into death, that ^(B)just as Christ was raised from the dead by ^(C)the glory of the Father, ^(D)even so we also should walk in newness of life.

³ For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. ^4 (A)For the weapons ^(B)of our warfare are not ^[a]carnal but ^(C)mighty in God ^(D)for pulling down strongholds,

¹¹ This is a faithful saying:

⁸ Now ^(A)if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, ⁹ knowing that ^(B)Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. ¹⁰ For the death that He died, ^(C)He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, ^(D)He lives to God. ¹¹ Likewise you also, ^[a]reckon yourselves to be ^(E)dead indeed to sin, but ^(F)alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁷ who, in the days of His flesh, when He had ^(A)offered up prayers and supplications, ^(B)with vehement cries and tears to Him ^(C)who was able to save Him from death, and was heard ^(D)because of His godly fear,

^7 (A)but ^[a]made Himself of no reputation, taking the form ^(B)of a bondservant, and ^(C)coming in the likeness of men. ⁸ And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and ^(D)became ^(E)obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. ^9 (F)Therefore God also ^(G)has highly exalted Him and ^(H)given Him the name which is above every name, ^10 (I)that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, ¹¹ and ^(J)that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
