2 Chronicles 34:2-4

²and he doth that which is right in the eyes of Jehovah, and walketh in the ways of David his father, and hath not turned aside -- right or left.

³And in the eighth year of his reign (and he yet a youth), he hath begun to seek to the God of David his father, and in the twelfth year he hath begun to cleanse Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the shrines, and the graven images, and the molten images.

⁴And they break down before him the altars of the Baalim, and the images that [are] on high above them he hath cut down, and the shrines, and the graven images, and the molten images, he hath broken and beaten small, and streweth on the surface of the graves of those sacrificing to them,

²He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and followed the ways of his father David,^(A) not turning aside to the right or to the left.

³In the eighth year of his reign, while he was still young, he began to seek the God^(B) of his father David. In his twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of high places, Asherah poles and idols. ⁴Under his direction the altars of the Baals were torn down; he cut to pieces the incense altars that were above them, and smashed the Asherah poles^(C) and the idols. These he broke to pieces and scattered over the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.^(D)

³For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was still ^(A)young, he began to ^(B)seek the God of his father David; and in the twelfth year he began ^(C)to purge Judah and Jerusalem ^(D)of the ^[a]high places, the wooden images, the carved images, and the molded images. ⁴^(E)They broke down the altars of the Baals in his presence, and the incense altars which were above them he cut down; and the wooden images, the carved images, and the molded images he broke in pieces, and made dust of them ^(F)and scattered it on the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.
