Uzziah Reigns in Judah^(A)

26 Now all the people of Judah took ^[a]Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king instead of his father Amaziah.

⁸ Asa begot ^(A)Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat begot Joram, and Joram begot ^(B)Uzziah. ⁹ Uzziah begot Jotham, Jotham begot ^(C)Ahaz, and Ahaz begot Hezekiah.

22 Then the inhabitants of Jerusalem made ^(B)Ahaziah his youngest son king in his place, for the raiders who came with the ^(C)Arabians into the camp had killed all the ^(D)older sons. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram, king of Judah, reigned.

²⁵ But the people of the land executed all those who had conspired against King Amon. Then the people of the land made his son Josiah king in his place.

Azariah Reigns in Judah^(A)

15 In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, ^(B)Azariah the son of Amaziah, king of Judah, ^(C)became king. ² He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem. ³ And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah had done, ^4 (D)except that the ^[a]high places were not removed; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places. ⁵ Then the Lord ^(E)struck the king, so that he was a leper until the day of his ^(F)death; so he ^(G)dwelt in an isolated house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the royal house, judging the people of the land.

⁶ Now the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? ⁷ So Azariah ^[b]rested with his fathers, and ^(H)they buried him with his fathers in the City of David. Then Jotham his son reigned in his place.
