^16 (A)And we will cut whatever timber you need from Lebanon and bring it to you in rafts by sea to ^(B)Joppa, so that you may take it up to Jerusalem.”

⁴⁶ and Me-jarkon and Rakkon with the territory over against ^(A)Joppa.

⁸ And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, “I have heard the message that you have sent to me. I am ready to do all you desire in the matter of cedar and cypress timber. ⁹ My servants shall bring it down to the sea from Lebanon, and I will make it into rafts to go by sea to the place you direct. And I will have them broken up there, and you shall receive it. And you shall meet my wishes ^(A)by providing food for my household.”

³² Send therefore to Joppa and ask for Simon who is called Peter. He is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea.’

Dorcas Restored to Life

³⁶ Now there was in ^(A)Joppa a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas.^[a] She was full of ^(B)good works and acts of charity.

^3 (A)All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

⁷ So they gave money to the masons and the carpenters, ^(A)and food, drink, and oil to the Sidonians and the Tyrians ^(B)to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea, to Joppa, ^(C)according to the grant that they had from Cyrus king of Persia.
