²⁰ After her he took ^(A)Maachah the ^[a]granddaughter of ^(B)Absalom; and she bore him ^(C)Abijah, Attai, Ziza, and Shelomith.

² He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was ^[a]Michaiah the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah.

And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.

^7 (A)Solomon begot Rehoboam, Rehoboam begot ^(B)Abijah, and Abijah begot ^[a]Asa.

¹⁶ So Rehoboam ^[a]rested with his fathers, and was buried in the City of David. Then ^(A)Abijah^[b] his son reigned in his place.

²¹ Now Rehoboam loved Maachah the granddaughter of Absalom more than all his ^(A)wives and his concubines; for he took eighteen wives and sixty concubines, and begot twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters.
