¹¹ And now, whereas my father laid on you a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke. My father disciplined you with whips, but I will discipline you with scorpions.’”

¹⁰ They have tails and stings like scorpions, and their power to hurt people ^(A)for five months is in their tails.

⁵ They were allowed to torment them ^(A)for five months, but not to kill them, and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings someone.

³ Then from the smoke came ^(A)locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth.

¹⁹ Behold, I have given you authority ^(A)to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of ^(B)the enemy, and ^(C)nothing shall hurt you.

²⁹ Take my yoke upon you, and ^(A)learn from me, for I am ^(B)gentle and lowly in heart, and ^(C)you will find rest for your souls.
