¹⁵and he was very thirsty. He said, “I wish I had a drink from the well by the gate at Bethlehem.”

¹⁵David was thirsty for some water from his hometown, so he said, “Oh, if only I could have some water from that well by the gate in Bethlehem.”

¹⁵David remarked longingly to his men, “Oh, how I would love some of that good water from the well by the gate in Bethlehem.”
